How To Make The Perfect Barracuda Lure

Barracuda is one of may favorite fish to target, especially in the winter time. I typically use a modified lure that isn’t typically used to catch barracuda in shallow water. In this episode, I go through exactly what kind of lures I look for, and all of the special modifications that I make in order to make it the perfect lure for catching barracuda. I also go over the knots that I use to connect my wire to my fluorocarbon.

i like using Steel Crimps to attach the wire. no twisting needed just feed it through steel sleeve twice adnd crimp it twice . dont, can tie / rig new lure in 20-30 seconds. And it easily holds a 100Lb Stingray

The best lure I've used so far besides the cuda tubes are those lipless crankbaits in chrome colorations with the front treble hook removed. No wire needed whatsoever cause they strike the tail 100% of the time, just reel it as fast as you can.
Cool trick, but way knot use a Bass topwater like a spook? Wouldn't it work the same?

The Spook is an excellent lure but not as heavy and casting distance is far less. Also, the freshwater lures like that have thinner treble hooks that are not as strong. This one skips like a Houndfish and Cud's really like that
Couple northeast lure that might work for this situation. Number #1 for blues lure and pencil popper ones made from hard plastic and wood. Should stand up well to cuda.
