Tinning material:
s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_EwP...
Small solar panel for your projects:
s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_oDd...
Note:
Ferric chloride is not available for international shipping.
You can make the silicone by adding solvent with pure silicone powder.
Maximum current 20mA.
After few hours the cell stopped working.
It may be due to impurities in solvent or silicon powder.
Solution used to etch the copper was Ferric Chloride. (FeCl3)
One table spoon in half litre of water and shake 10 minutes
with the board in it.
Be careful with any chemical.
Don't throw the waste in drainage.

Do you have to use that pattern or could you use a different pattern and make pockets that would be smaller and have boosters in the middles that act as a conductor pushing more power and giving better feed to the panel also might be possible to create a storage supply that way from coil to coil ?

Hey man, Great and informative Video. I want to make a solar panel for my KZread Channel as well and have some questions. (I'll give you credit of course). The crystal silicone paste you use, can I use normal silicone? Or does it need to be the paste? If so do you know where I can get it? Also I see you measured off a 4inch/2.5inch copper plate. Is there any limitations to the size of the copper plate can be? Or can I make a super long one? That would probably produce a larger voltage? And how long did you place the copper in the ferric chloride solution?

  • @Lazydayyt

    @Lazydayyt

    2 жыл бұрын

It is Silicon paste not regular Silicone. I bought it from ebay few years ago before pandemic but now the seller is no longer available. The size of the plate does not matter. It's the surface area and arrangement. 10 min of shaking is enough for etching process.

Only knowing how many volts won't let us determine how many amps it is, but it probably isn't a lot in this application. Still, the ability and knowledge of how to make one is very valuable information and the process can always be refined; smaller bars (Idk what they are called but those alternating silver and copper bars) would help produce more electricity, along with more space

We all should be asking "What is the Short - Circuit Current, in full sunlight"?? Because my feeling is simply that it will not drive a few LED's or small motor. The Output in full sunlight will be measured in just a few milliamps, so don't expect that this would power your off-grid lifestyle, or even charge batteries. Just my thoughts.......A great Science Project for those who want to experiment.

do you know the efficiency of this as a percentage (obviously less then professionally manufactured boards) also how does the distance between and the number of traces effect the efficiency, also also can you dope the silicon paste with phosphor like is done in professional cells for higher efficiency?
