For every 1 cup of all-purpose flour, add 1 teaspoons baking powder and 1/4 teaspoon salt

I’m trying this recipe and they crack open while in the oven, is there any way I can avoid this? Yours are whole and I wanted mine to be like that 😞

Self-rising flour is flour with the baking powder and a bit of salt already added, but if your using cake flour add 1tsp baking powder and bit salt,
