    Learning so much from this video. For example, adding craft paint with a little bit of liquid Sculpey AND letting that came dry OVERNIGHT!! This explains why I had an epic fail my first time exploring this technique. I didn't learn the way. I just jumped into it.😆😀

  • @Jahmella94

    @Jahmella94

    3 жыл бұрын

    Personally I drill after, I used to poke holes pre-bake but it would warp/distort my clay piece. Plus, a clean drilled hole always looks nicer. As for securing your backings, I like to use gorilla super glue gel. Once dried, I will either UV resin the back for about 20 minutes or I’ll use some translucent liquid clay and bake the clay pieces for 30 minutes to cure.

  • @RaisingNobles

    Can I ask why people seem to use translucent clay as a backing? I would have thought the clay rolled together was enough

  • @RaisingNobles

    @RaisingNobles

    Жыл бұрын

    yes. the reason for that is because when you place your cut pieces down, the outter edges where the acrylic paint is don't adhere together very well. so if you just place the cut pieces on your work surface and roll them out you will have your slab falling apart. hopefully that makes sense
