How to Make Green Juice in a Blender (without a Juicer!)

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Learn how to make green juice in a blender with spinach, kale, celery, cucumber, apples, parsley, fresh ginger, and lime juice-no juicer needed & with no added sugars!
Honestly I’m not typically a fan of green juices, but this homemade green juice recipe turned out perfectly sweet & amazingly flavorful. I love the natural sweetness from the apples, the zing of ginger flavor, and the refreshing burst of lime juice! Plus it only takes 15 minutes to make-all you need is a high-powered blender (I used my Vitamix) and a nut milk bag or fine mesh strainer.
As appealing as store-bought green juices can be, they can also be deceiving. When you look at the ingredients list & the sugar content, many aren’t as healthy as they seem! But as always, I encourage you to decide for yourself: what does “healthy” mean to you? And what kind of green juice do YOU want to drink?
Remember, added sugar isn’t “bad”-the intention here is just to increase our awareness of what’s in the foods we’re eating. If you LOVE enjoying a store-bought green juice, even if there IS added sugar, I say lighten up and give yourself permission to enjoy that juice fully!

Great idea to use a bag! If you save the pulp, you can use it in baking, like muffins to add fiber.

This is similar to my recipe. I do a “smoothie” in order to keep fiber. And, mine isn’t sweet. Spinach, a stalk of celery, knob of ginger, lemon (whole thing, without seeds), sea salt, cucumber, cayenne pepper. Almost like a gazpacho

I just bought a chufa mix to make my own milks.. it basically a big tea strainer that you put your stick blender in and it emulsifies you 'milk'. I want to make some green smoothies and soups with it to see if it helps me to integrate them back into my really basic diet.. this is is just a sign that I should get some green stuff.. can you freeze this? Or how do you store it?

Blenders will destroy the nutrients by heating up the product... buy a slow juicer.. best investment you'll make.. will last you a lifetime... if you are going to blend - at least use a vacuum blender to maintain nutrients.

I know vitamin C can be cooked out of stuff but does the blender really high up enough for that?
