The connectors will be sturdy. How long did you take to dry the plate?

    It would have been useful to have a baseline resistance reading of the graphite for comparison. There must be a point of saturation where the material loses it’s plasticity. It would be interesting to see how low the resistance can be while the material is still plastic.

    Acetone doesnt actually dissolve PS fully - it just weakends it fast and releases all thengas in the EPS. So can never make a good paint like this. Even saturated with acetone it will always remain a loose putty/like consistency. Quite a few common paint thinner solvents like toluene and xylene can do a full dissolution that could make it paintable or even sprayable (nice for electroplating non-metals). Also benzene (usually sold as brake cleaner) and chloroform are other alternatives. I have not tested the latter myself

  • @cayrex

    @cayrex

    11 күн бұрын

    Yes correct. Here is no need that the acetone will completely dissolved the PS, because in the end I make it into a hard electrode and not into the ink. If you want to make into the ink, then you will need toluene.

Metal powders that cannot be reached by the acid remain in the material and can contribute to conductivity. Also I thought this would increase the surface area of the plastic, what do you think about this? I'm sorry for my bad english.
