Friends come from school. Almost everybody makes their friends from schools 80% of people's friends come from school. It's harder to make friends out of school. Okay maybe some people have made friends from out of school but thats very hard and you have to be careful. and plus you can't just approach a random stranger at a art club and say "HELLO WANNA BE FRIENDS!!? 🤪" That's silly and you will end up getting your feelings hurt after please don't approach random people like that in public and do that. You will look very stupid and that is stupid.

Play a team sport. Force yourself in those social situations that make you talk to others

This is my story. Im from Korea. I live really far from the school I go. I have been going to my school for just about 1 month and Im kinda shy so at first I didnt have any friends. And then, friend A liked BTS and asked me about Korea so we talked a bit. But that didnt go far. We did talk, but were so awkward because of my shyness. Few days later, I got suprisingly friendly with A, and she had some other members in the crew so I joined in. In Korea, I was always good at sports, so I expected I might be able to make friends out of that reason. But here, I was really bad at sports. By the way, I did feel that my sports skills got worse. I did have other talents, like playing the piano, gymnastics(i know its a sport but ONLY gymnastics om self taught btw🤪), and drawing. And math..but you know when other kids get really rude during a game, like I know they are trying to win, but they put even MORE pressure on you. And that happens especially from A. She sometimes is kinda rude, and there is another asian, B in my class, so we always get left out in PE. btw, I dont even like B. And because of that, I get really mad thinking about it. Is there a how to make friends even though youre asian?

1) No one ever invites me to anything. 2) I try to ask ppl to hang out, either over coffee or something. But they always decline.. 3) As far as making new friends, I live in a small city with no social events.

Thank u so much, im extremely shy, whenever i talk to someone i dont know what to do, the other day one guy from my tecnology class invited me to their group because i always sit alone, i said ok an smiled, he told me he was also in my spanish class, like he wanted to talk to me, i just smiled and said that i saw him too, and then i looked the other way, he looked at me like "Arent u going to say something?" it was embarrassing, but i cant wait to my next tecnology class and ask them if i can sit with them :) Btw they are the typical "nerds" so i think we can get alone.

I’m shy at school but at home and everywhere else I am very sociable, fun, outgoing, and all that good stuff. At school I am quiet and I made one real friend and she’s in a different class. I am Friendly and one has to be open minded and hearted as every person is different, yet may have some common traits like yourself. Just being yourself is far better than pretending being someone else. Just be careful to whom you give your trust. What if your doing sports or something and you want to become friends with the other people you play with but you feel like they don’t like you and judge u?

just have a interesting personality. say things that push boundaries, at least in my personal life i got a lot of my friends because i can make fun of both my self and sensitive topics like racism.

Im in 8th grade and 2 of my friends who I haven’t been in contact with for over a year don’t even come to school. I always see ny other classmates from elementary school with new friends and being mature and stuff. Im really insecure, unconfident and shy. I can never get to talk to people and i speak really quietly. Im getting more and more sad, then my parents and everyone keep saying to make friends. its so much easier to make friends when your not self conscious. I just want a friend who is just like me

Being that I have been marred with an inferiority complex with a side of neediness because noone ever related or attached themselves to me. In fact, most people do not understand me even professionarls, therapists, dr's, police.. etc. They always react to me the same way that others do in never believing anything I say, quick to mocking and getting others to do the same or quick to anger because they assume I'm not applying myself. If you could tell me how to jump through people's behavior towards me. I have gotten past the pain and neediness finally and maybe I am still growing out of how people react and relate to me but when I have brought supervisors into confusing situations it usually ends up the same so my issue has been deep since a child and noone spotted my inferiority complex or my struggle all they did was keep pushing me to do better and now after 49 years I'm just spotting what is exactly happening. I can't work, count money in front of cashiers or nothing because others lack of patience of me has broken me is my interpretation if that makes sense. Thanks for listening. I have never given up but always had the same cycle. My caregiver hates how much he has to defend me from angry or ignorant people when they don't know me and I never said anything to them people have just always treated me one of a few ways.

I need friend to always chat with and talk about where they come from.

Yes, so true, it really is harder to get rid of friends than to make them.... (my current situation TwT)

i am a lot different to my friends than to strangers. to strangers im so nice and caring and calm, but with my friends...let's just say i roast them (jokingly), and *accidentally* talk about myself a lot (im working on it), and being a bit craycray..but my 'friend' personality isn't that attractive to strangers, i have experience.

About #1. In my city, social groups are only for women, which is sex discrimination even if it's against the historically favored group. And when I took community college classes, daytime students NEVER had any free time between homework and internships. Regardless of if I went during the day or at night, they were too immature for me want to be with them anyway. I'm triggered. :`(
