Don't this LED chip require a current regulating driver? No holes in heat sink for attaching chip. Relying on some adhesive which can fail when hot. Heat sink too small for 50w I think. I would use a 30w LED max even w dimmer control. Also bypass the dimmer with fan so that fan always run full speed. Cheap fan may stop completely if voltage reduced.

I was thinking this thing probably gets really hot with a quickness but okay if only used for a few seconds at a time.... could probably melt one of the colored plastic lids after a bit

Nice Video. In your configuration you created 3 groups of 2 parallel batteries and then you put the 3 groups in series, so total voltage 3,7x3 and total ah 2xAhofonebattery. Is that right? So If I want more ah to make the torch lasting longer I could put 3 groups of 3 parallel batteries in series, right ?

Brilliantly put together, but I would say 50w is rather too much for this project. Considering the amount of heat it has to deal with, I don't see that heat sink together with the fan handling it.

That heatsink is wayyy to small for a 50w led Im using a similar sized heatsing for a 7 w led and it gets pretty toasty without a fan
