I am old school 57. I could not make good corn bread , but since I have been listening to you. I tried your corn bread in the oven. Guess what it turned out really good and had a good taste. Thx Chris

My grandma keeps hers oil in the same container. that just made me smile! wonderful video.
I love that you had your daughter there cooking cornbread. A lot of people don’t teach their children young. I taught my daughter and son . Your video was awesome I will be watching you and your daughter more often . I’m excited to see what she cooks next . 😊
Always happy to see your daughter helping! She's such a sweet girl.
love the teapot grease strainer idea...I'm using that one!
Hi Mrs. Chris. It's so wonderful to see & your daughter in the kitchen together. She looks just like you. Very beautiful. Like mother like daughter. Now I'm an old school cook & I do know how to make cornbread, but your daughter's cornbread I will be making from on. That golden color on it looks absolutely amazing! Now that's somebody that definitely knows what she's doing. O yes. She's got me ready to go in the kitchen & make myself a skillet of it right about now, & put on a pot of greens, some smoked neck bones, & some candied yams. Tell her she done started something with that cornbread, & o yes, I have some cast-iron skillets. Thank you all so much for coming on & sharing your daughter's cornbread recipe because I definitely will be making it. She's an amazing cook as well as her mom; and by the way, I made your peach dumplings again yesterday. There wasn't a one left. 😀
Both versions of cornbread look wonderful....wish I had some right now. I love making sweet cornbread and I put honey on top right as it's out of the oven. Delicious!
I am mindblown with your used cook oil container idea!!! Thank you
OMG thank u sooo much,I tried yur cornbread recipe for my dressing and my son told me that this dressing taste better than any other dressing I hve ever made.My moma always told me a good dressing starts with a good cornbread.
I love the tip on saving oil in the tea pot with strainer.
Yes gonna use this for my dressing.. So grateful ! You have great help here..Train up a child In a way they should go N when they get old they will not depart from it..Good Job mom. Father bless this house hold with your favor and shield.... .
I am not a young home cook but an older experienced one always searching to get the cornbread just right, (sometimes it's too crumbly) can't wait to try this thank you!
Nobody in my country even knows what corn bread is. I bought some "so-called" corn bread from a supermarket, who were just starting to introduce American products into the UK. It was absolutely vile!! As it so happens, I met a young lady who is a student here. She is from Louisiana and when I told her of my experience, she was horrified. She ran off to her kitchen and immediately started making REAL cornbread, just for me. I can't tell you what a difference it was. It was like day and night between her end product and that rubbish that I had from the supermarket. I have never tried making it myself but I'm definitely going to give it a go :)
I'm just refreshing myself with your video - getting ready to make some cornbread for Thanksgiving dinner 🍽 The FIRST time I made it out was DELICIOUS!! I THANK YOU for giving us the jiffy version because I can't stand up long and it helps a lot 😁
Thank you so much for showing us the cornbread. Your daughter is as talented as her mother. Keep up the great work.
I was just thinking of a corn bread recipe., and I came across your recipe. Thanks to both u and your daughter. You're absolutely right about training your children up in the way they should go..my two children learned how to start cooking at 10 and 12 years old,.and now they can make a delicious meal...:)
I made my Cornbread in my cast iron skillet for the first time and we tore it up!! It was buttery and crunchy but yet soft and moist. Thanks for posting Mrs. Chris!!
Hi Chris, I made your cornbread and my family really enjoyed it. I melted a 1/2 a Stick of butter and poured it on top of the cornbread after it was finished cooking.....Thank you again!!

I love watching how other people do things I like to switch it up somethings, but if I ever have any questions on how to do something I coming straight to your channel, I don't know you personally but I can tell you cook from the soul and out of love so I know it's good 🥰
You are a terrific teacher and for someone (me) who argues with her kitchen every day, this was so very reassuring. I love cornbread! Here we go😂🙏❤️🤣💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻
I freaking love you! You give good tips and I love your 'dump', ol' skool, good downhome cookin'!!!!
You are a wonderful cook love how you explain as you go along...I use the Martha White also. It's the best for making good cornbread sometimes I put a dollop of sour cream it seems to make it really moist.
Thank you beautiful ladies so much for a fine cornbread recipe. Looks so good and great to see your twist on this recipe. Making my mouth water just looking at it. And above all.... So proud to see Mother and daughter passing down history together. Thank ya'll so much Peace from Texas
Cornbread looks delicious.
Thank you to your daughter. I noticed she broke the egg inside of the batter. I was taught in HS never do that incase the egg is bad. It's a hard habit to break. I can't wait to try this.

I agree I break eggs in small bowl make sure its good and pull that white ukky stuff off
I love the idea of the kettle for the used cooking oil. I’ve put mine in a clear glass jar which I think somehow made the oil go rancid quicker. Thank you so much!
I just watched your chicken and dumplings recipe, I've always done it that way, but never thought to add the soup mix..I'll give that a try..yummy@!
Are you an educator? The manner in which you give instructions for your dishes is so detailed. Thank you so much! I want to make everything I’ve watched you prepare today and it’s just November 17th🤣🤣
Hey Mrs. Chris thanks for sharing your recipes. I enjoy watching & learning more. Beautiful daughter by the way. God bless..
Hello Mrs. Chris and Daughter! I love cornbread! Daughter you did an excellent job preparing your cornbread. Blessings to both of you! Have an awesome day!
Mrs. Chris I want to thank u for your cooking ministry. It touches me that u reaching out to the young ppl. I wish churches would take on this. That way our children r not idle and not inspired. Another way to fill in the gap in our community. Each one teach one.
Hi Miss Chris. I just wanted you to know that you're my mom in the kitchen💕 I've followed a few of your recipes and they all turned out delicious! I'll be making the small version of the Jiffy cornbread recipe for me and my two daughters (saw instructions you posted to another subscriber). I'm making your Peach Dumplings, banana pudding and sweet potato pie for our Thanksgiving desserts. I've already tried the peach dumplings and it was absolutely amazing! Your daughter is beautiful and I will be making her cornbread version for Christmas. She is very blessed to have you. Thanks for all that you do, I really appreciate you💕💕

In your daughtercorn bread ,I think she stirred it to much, when you have a lot of food to cook at one time she won't have time.

Thank you for showing me just how to make that car brand. I love the way that you did it.
I just love all of you dishes ❤️
Here s a cookng oil tip for you. You CAN repurify fish/seafood grease if you fry a white potatoe in it first. The potatoe will absorb the fishiness from the grease.
