Hi Mrs. Chris. It's so wonderful to see & your daughter in the kitchen together. She looks just like you. Very beautiful. Like mother like daughter. Now I'm an old school cook & I do know how to make cornbread, but your daughter's cornbread I will be making from on. That golden color on it looks absolutely amazing! Now that's somebody that definitely knows what she's doing. O yes. She's got me ready to go in the kitchen & make myself a skillet of it right about now, & put on a pot of greens, some smoked neck bones, & some candied yams. Tell her she done started something with that cornbread, & o yes, I have some cast-iron skillets. Thank you all so much for coming on & sharing your daughter's cornbread recipe because I definitely will be making it. She's an amazing cook as well as her mom; and by the way, I made your peach dumplings again yesterday. There wasn't a one left. 😀

Nobody in my country even knows what corn bread is. I bought some "so-called" corn bread from a supermarket, who were just starting to introduce American products into the UK. It was absolutely vile!! As it so happens, I met a young lady who is a student here. She is from Louisiana and when I told her of my experience, she was horrified. She ran off to her kitchen and immediately started making REAL cornbread, just for me. I can't tell you what a difference it was. It was like day and night between her end product and that rubbish that I had from the supermarket. I have never tried making it myself but I'm definitely going to give it a go :)
