Miss Chris thank you so much for this video. I got 12 lbs of 'washed' turnip greens for next to nothing. I'm a seasoned canner. I like my greens to be really, really clean. I worked through them all day yesterday and have pressure canned them today with a bit of salt pork. Was able to can 9 quarts. You inspire me!

My grandma who taught me to cook was from the south. We were dirt poor, but never hungry. She was so creative and made a lot of your same dishes.❤

Thanks so much for sharing this, Ms. Chris. I just found your page. I'm sitting here watching this, and you're taking me back to when my grandmother used to prepare these beef kidneys in the 60's and 70's. I remember her seasoning and flouring them just like she did her chicken (like you said). My husband saw me watching this video and did a double take - he said that his mother used to prepare these when he was growing up, too. I remember trying to find some years ago. I couldn't find them at the grocery stores around me. Now, it's my mission to find some and have an old-school beef kidney dinner like we both enjoyed when we were kids.

Could you please add the details of the ingredients in grams? 2 sticks of butter doesn't tell us anything. Because Other parts of the globe uses the metric system. and that is grams. You'll be doing a favour to your viewers. Thanks.
