Hi Ms.Chris, This pie bring back childhood memories. I haven't had a good pecan pie in decades. Question: you mentioned the pricks in the pie shell. Does this mean you pre-baked the shell?

Im trying to mix my syrup with the eggs and the syrup has solidified. can i fix this and what am i doing wrong ? the same thing happened when i tried the caramel topping
