Great dish I love it. Just to add some local info, here in Mexico the pacific side uses cucumber on their coctel de camaron, the gulf is usually without cucumber and they add a kick with "hueva" which are eggs of fish not for everyone but way better in my opinion. Thanks for showing love to MEX and seafood

I watched this on PBS yesterday, chased you down on KZread today and made the recipe. It's simple and delicious. I had to purchase all the ingredients unfortunately (even the ketchup) and it came in at around $30 dollars. Not bad considering this made a ton and will easily be plenty as an appetizer for a large get together. Also this can easily be adapted to other meals. There's no reason this can't be served on a tortilla as a taco or over rice a a summer evening light dish.

I've used v8 once to see how it tasted like on shrimp cocktail, and it was good but clamato is better. Plus I add some worcestershire sauce and half a can of orange soda (you can skip that one though), chopped tomato, and I peel and remove the seeds from the cucumbers, and chop it into smaller pieces to bring out the chunks of shrimp. God, now I want some!

Ms. Elle, outstanding recipe & my wife & I really like shrimp, I learned many yrs ago from a chef that the larger the crustacean the better the flavor, shrimp, lobster, craw fish, etc... it is true so I try to buy the largest I can afford, wild caught( no farm raised) I like the V-8 idea, God bless you & yours ma'am ,

V8 sounds good, better than ingredient list in Clamato (yuck). It`s 104 degrees here Nor-Cal and made a batch which is chillin` in the fridge to get super cold. This ATK recipe is missing a key ingredient, jalapeno or serrano chili`s which is a must have.
