This is the norm up here in Canada. In my senior year, we actually had one of our teachers run a "life 101" course where she would teach a variety of topics related to day-to-day obstacles. Kids who took that class were taught how to get the most out of their taxes, efficient note-taking strategies in university, basic vehicle maintenance, navigating public transit, and much more. I never personally took it but it was honestly one of the most enriching classes any senior could have taken.

I was curious if Bill would think highly of him teaching job skills to kids when Robert Kiyosaki has explained that the rich do not work for money they don't have jobs and don't thing highly of them. The reality is that is the secret of the rich and they of couse want everyone else to have jobs to make them money.

Wow that's good to know. Great thinking but I think it would bring serious mental problems like depression in the world. Sometimes Nature makes pushing the boundaries of the Universe so hard that humans will always aspire to crack the mysteries of it else if those innovations and mysteries are easy , we would be depressed knowing that those limits can't be reached and must be forever stuck in our bounded World.

High School in Northern Scotland 1987-1989. I had classes on cooking, finance, marine navigation, woodwork and metalwork. Served me well. Education should prepare you for life outside of academia. We are doing a disservice to our children if it does not.
