My mom loves spicy pickled green tomatoes. I make them for her every fall when I clear the tomatoes off the vines. Thanks for participating in Canuary. I'm really enjoying everyone's videos.
I LOVE this idea, wish I had known I could pickle my green tomatoes last fall when I was trying to save as many as I could before my first frost! Can't wait to try this year. Thanks so much!

@sd1098 And something that you may or may not know is that prior to your first frost you can pull your plants up by the roots and place them on some newspaper or cardboard in a cool room of your house. The green tomatoes still on the vine will ripen over time. When a plant become devoid of any tomatoes just toss them vine into your compost pile. They, however, will not grow any larger. I learned this years ago from my mother's Uncle who did this every year.
I’ve been looking at all of your recipes and they all look amazing! I’m so happy you joined the collaboration! Thank you so much for yet another great looking canning recipe. Also a big thank you to Leisa and forjars for sponsoring this great month of Canuary!

We are in transition waiting for our house to be built and I'm praying it is done in time to start growing our own food. Thanks to all of you!!

When I got married 38 years ago, I learned about spicy tomatoes from my husband’s family. I knew it was one of my favorite snacks so I figured I needed to learn to can it. He usually just likes the cayenne peppers in it but now I’m tempted to “spice” it up a little more with peppercorns and garlic. This might be fun! Thank you so much!
