Thank you Scott! I figured 1 3/4” charcuterie boards would’ve been overkill so I resawed it. Win-win!

A man after my own heart. Love the walnut love the handle. No matter what anyone else says. Big board, small dainty handle = Style and proportion. Well Done. Subscribed and Liked

Very Nice use of tools. Beautiful slab. I need a bandsaw. Don't know where you live however to me that is a $500 charcuterie board. Even better as twins in the right market.

Thank you very much Dean! The bandsaw definitely comes handy when resawing and cutting curves! Wow! That’s a lot, these sold for less than that half of that each!
Nice.

It’s super handy when you need it. And it’s very safe for when you need to make rough cuts on rough lumber!
The best..

Not sure why you originally ripped the board. Was it done to make it easier to joint and plane?
@Bantilloswoodshop
3 жыл бұрын
That’s exactly why. Even with a planer sled it could not have run it through my planer. I could’ve made a router sled for fattening but I didn’t want to make a lot mess.
@Bantilloswoodshop

Also I needed to resaw it as the stock was 8/4.

@@robertcornelius3514 That’s Awesome! That’s on my to do list! Thanks!
Unless ordered, the handles are not built that strong with that big hole in the middle. Wood use not efficient either, the again , it could just be for display.
@Bantilloswoodshop

The hole is mostly for hanging and design. You’re not going to use this board as a baseball bat so it’ll survive just fine.
how much do you get for a cutting board that size?????
