How to make a wargaming table for Warhammer 40k, Age of Sigmar and Dungeons & Dragons. The table is built mostly from XPS foam and PVC because it's lightweight (I can lift it by myself). I'm really proud of the design because you can build it without power tools. Let me know if you have any questions!

You should wear a particle mask when sanding or spraying, it'll make you die less :)

What's the fuss? It wasn't epoxy primer. Clear coat the paint. It smells like grapes when shooting it. Do wear a respirator if you shoot it. How many respirator phanatics store the mask in a sealed bag when not using it? Yep, you need to do that.

Hey l love your vids you an miscast are some of my favourite youtubers
I appreciate it when youtubers just get into the meat and potatoes of a video. No 10 minutes monologuing or telling me to subscribe and ring the bell. Just straight into it. Thanks.
This has improved my day 300%. Lovely table.

Hey man, I watch a lot of KZread, and a lot of hobby channels, but I stop everything and watch your videos when they appear. I've been hobbying for many years, but I always see new stuff in your videos, even when you do a topic that I'm already familiar with, like making tables. I love the way you did the pvc edging, and it would be so nice to keep dice from rolling off. Cheers!
Beautiful video Trent. Worth the wait ;)

I couldn't agree more. Glad to be back!
All the stuff you make is so aesthetically pleasing, from the terrain to the videos. More please.
Thanks for making this video. I make a lot of terrain, but this board really ties it all in together so well. It'd actually be pretty easy to store too, so that's a huge plus. Remarkably inspiring stuff, and filmed so well too!
This is fantastic and has removed a lot of the fear for me as I start planning my first diorama board. Going through your archives has been a brilliant use of a Sunday morning too! Cheers!
This video is still so good. Your editing/production style always makes me want to take it up a notch.
Very well done. I really like the homemade mixtures you applied to the table the end result is fantastic.I have never seen someone edge a table like that. I may have to look into that. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you mate, lovely hearing that from you. If I had the skill I would have preferred a nice wood trim but the PVC is super light, I can lift the table myself and confidently store it vertically so not a bad result!
So happy to see one of your videos in my subs again! Amazing job! I've been thinking of making a 'table-topper' out of foam for a while, rather than a full on wood gaming table, this is exactly what I needed to see. Cheers!

Amazing. I've been looking for table builds like this, great video. It looks fantastic.
Wow thanks for this tutorial. A storm resently destroyed my gaming room in the garage (no minis or scenerey were hurt thanfully) and I was wondering how I would go about restoring it. This is a must have.

"Make a table for 40k" A 40k planet with grass? And trees? Now THAT'S rare. Must be some knife-ear Exodite agri-world, give me a good hive or a Manufactorum ANY day. (Great vid man, really instructional. Never done landscape before, might give it a go now!)

Amazing table, great work. I love the quality of this tutorial as well. I'm sure when I get the funds to have a crack at this. Also, fair play to your friend/client for not only matching the asking price but doubling it. As a creative myself, I know that a lot of people are hesitant to pay for the services we provide.

@miscast Thanks for posting this amazing idea, my son and I want to build a table and you have just given us some amazing ideas. We got into Warhammer 40k this summer and now we need a table big enough for some of our longer range characters. You my friend have delivered as we were cringing at the price of lumber! Thank you so much. I'll be sure to try and send you pics as we progress. :)

Great to hear from you mate!
Very good. It's easy and fun to do. Everyone should get their hands dirty from time to time, to time it's very relaxing. I made my present table in an afternoon, using some old chipboard given to me by a friend. I recently made Senlac Hill for the battle of hastings, which fits nicely on it, as does my expansive English Civil War redoubt. All made with polystyrene tiles, ready mix plaster and hair curlers. The thing is, have a go, it's great fun and you can only improve with practice. Another tip, never throw things away. I keep corks, match sticks, cocktail sticks, little blocks of wood etc etc, they all get used eventually.
Hey man, this channel is awesome. Been looking for one like it. I run a sci-fi dnd campaign (esper) and would LOVE to see some sci-fi builds.
Im so glad you actually came back

I always do eventually!
Felt on the bottoms of the moveable terrain is such a good idea.
In a world now dominated by roll out mat game boards... So nice to see people still making and using actual game boards... they just add so much more immersion to your games I feel. Great video mate!
Oh man, I was searching for a good, light, easy to store game table for tabletop gaming but didn't want to build it out of wood... Thank you so much, sometimes the answer is right infront of you, but you need someone to press your face into it :D
"I sometimes ask if I'm being an idiot." Really though, this is legit quality advice.
Finally! Good as always

For sure. Well this is not the solution then hahah! I really like gaming mats for the portability factor and there's some great ones around, that'd be my go to.
