I can’t wait till you realize that YOU are just as inspiring to creatives as the artists that you love have been to yourself

Boom, this right here, excellent comment!
Man. Trent's charisma is just creative drugs to get up and start doing something. Hope the studio stays with you for a long while.
Hi Trent, I don't normally comment but I just want to say that I find your chaotic creativity completely infectious. I used to never believe that I would be good enough to do artistic things but seeing your approach to just throwing stuff at the wall and see what sticks has really inspired me to give new things a go and let go of some of that fear of it not being good enough. So thanks.
Can we have a video where Rachel comes up with an idea and then you both work on it
I've been using that same camera as my only filming camera for like 5+ years now and it really is an incredible piece of equipment!!!
1:25 This is spot on. Just like punk's birth as a reaction to the state of pop culture the 70s/80s, people will tire of the homogeny of AI and its lack of soul.
This man never misses or runs out of ideas I strive to be like him
I think your "sleep schedule" is so crazy that the word schedule should be removed from the sentence
I am those people! You're one of the first Tubers I saw when I got back into the hobby after over 20 years away. Making my own stuff, specifically terrain, is driving me far further than I ever thought it would. You even inspired me to put that new adventure on KZread so I can help others the same way you helped me. Thank you!
I am still using my 70D for all my photography. I still get into shows in galleries and museums with my photos. Lens are more fun to play with than chasing the new hotness on that camera body.
Good questions, good answers. ❤
I love the backwards cannon/skid front fork bike the most! The slugs are great too
Your style and presentation has always had me gravitating for more of your stuff, so I'm honestly happy you were able to find what works and stop worrying about whether you've got "The New Hotness" when it comes to equipment. Videography (much like the mini hobby) is art, and you can have all of the expensive toys and gadgets in the world, but if you don't have that spark, you won't stand out, you won't grow, you won't learn, and you won't get better. You don't have that problem, and I see genuine growth in your videos everyday!
For real though, your videos make me look at Warhammer differently. Up until recently i just made the minis and built them as is. But now im dunking into fantasy minis im exploring the kitbashing a lot more, mostly thanks to watching you do stuff like moosh snails onto orc bikes
Trent, love all your videos, and if you read this. I met you at Adepticon this year and it was a pleasure. You weren't weird at all, I feel like I was because I couldn't figure out how to approach you to say hi without being weird lol
I hear ya on the whole sleep pattern thing, my sleep pattern doesn't have much pattern, if I'm hyped on doing something my brain won't shut off until I do it so I end up painting or editing etc all night and sleeping when I'm just too tired to work anymore. It may seem disorganised but I know the energy is different when I'm excited and hyped about what I'm doing.
Of COURSE Bill was the one that commented on the camera. That man is British sarcasm personified. This video was really fun! I really enjoy your energy and creativity!
You're a grown-ass man, sleep when you want. I also love the head cannon ork.
Bro if you had a meet up im 99% sure it would just be a line of people waiting to hug you and say thank you for the videos ❤
Every day miscast post a video is a great day, even if it's currently 11:53pm and I have an exam in 8 hours for which I am 100% not ready
As always loved the video. You are probably the youtuber I follow that manage to keep me motivated to craft. No matter what it is, terrain, mini, something else. You single-handedly keep my motivation to craft running.
These Orks are so cool!
Every day is Christmas with Trent posting this regularly 🥰🥰🥰🥰, I guess it’s more like Hanukkah then
Good lord! Another miscast video?!? I must have done something right this month! Love the chaos ork bikes!
You’re a real inspiration, keep up the great work man!
I've recently returned to both wargaming as well as content creation so this video was very inspiring to me. Keep it up duder!
You put a smile on my face and you motivated to get some minis painted again. You’re the best!
Abstraction of a commodity (warhammer) is Art. Love your ideas and confidence (when you can push yourself) in just making something different and unique. Have you read The War of Art? I’d really like to see your opinion of this book. Me: I worked around many mini or scale model makers for film.
I love all of those bikes! i was just working on putting a bits box together for necromunda! do you just have 1 big bits box or do you have it split up for different things? I was planning on making one for necromunda, 40k and other ones for other games. This stuff mainly came up cus i just rewatched your bits box video before this!
Your videos are always a highlight of the day and an inspiration. Thanks.
When you release a video it is the highlight of my day. I wait for the next one as soon as one is out. You inspire me so much.
Sleep schedule advice = confirmation bias haha
Hey, commenting to say that when I got back into the hobby after a 20 year break, I found your video about creating a vibe for games and fell down the rabbit hole. You got me to think about indie miniatures and thinking beyond the box art. Appreciate you, dude!
Ai is gray goo, it will eat anything, punk looking stuff included, do not feed the beast Trent, do not feed the beast!!
Definitely came here from warhammer and your style/mindset definitely made me inspired, had a blast at making a mandrake, I also suffer the 1am ideas 😅
About the camera, I did notice that you switched to 1080p and also a little lower quality overall, but my assumption was that you did that for the vlog series. I am a sucker for that sweet 4k crispness, but I imagen that you are right and most people don't care. Would have love to seen those Orks conversions in higher def though.
I did the same with cameras! My favourite by fr that I now have is the canon 70D! It’s a great camera and very easy to use. Love your content, keep it up
LAVA ROCK THINGS PART 2 VIDEO PLEASE 😂😂
Please don't lick your sculpting tool! Get some hand cream, put a dab on the back of your off hand, then when you need to lubricate your tool dip it in the cream, then wipe most off on your hand. Most putty is pretty dang toxic.
I've watched and re-watched this episode multiple times. Really enjoy creative people explain their own creativity & their inspiration. I do worry about you accidentally poisoning yourself by licking that tool. Lol Kidding ofcourse. Oh. And we're all abit awkward.

Glad I'm not the only one seeing him lick the sculpting tool while working with green stuff. Take care of yourself mate
As someone with a super irregular sleep schedule, i think i usually don't mind skipping sleep as long as i have something to show for it or to continue on when i inevitably crash. Once i get into a certain workflow i don't want to put it down because if i get out of the flow i'll be flooded in half finished projects that probably won't ever get finished in no time. As long as you still get some sleep in somewhere whenever you feel like it it's not that bad
always love your content :) keep it up!
I love the answer to the question i posted, makes all sense. Thank you for making videos, and how you make them. Love it ❤
Thanks for awnsering my question :)
Yay 470d like lol. I wanted post a question but didn’t know what to ask. So I’m just gonna say I love seeing your and everybody on your channels creativity and work. It’s just a joy to watch. Even though I don’t play Warhammer.
What about a conversion tournament where comversion is baked in to the narritive. So BitWars- a swamp battleground between several wizard/necromincers territory is filled with bitsand more are made in battle. The pieces that are slain in campigns go to the other side to convert into ever more grotesque limbos?
@friendlyattack1181
11 ай бұрын
That way the pieces actually die (in a way) and theres real incentive to play well/not get too precious about them? Plus the chance to win bits. Also you could play to target bits that your after. It' would be kind of like poker because you could definitely lose everything !
I just woke up. And now I notice that your voice is so southing and nice to listen to. Hope you are having a great day🤟
Its crazy this video is from the future
Like an ork merry-go-round
Green stuffs done its job. Don't know which one I like best.
This is a very nice video to watch while eating
The secret to the Manic Creative is that they are actually Sigma Grinders with editing skills.
Love your comment on the human response to AI as the most exciting part!
Love the honesty in your content mate. If only you knew how inspiring you truly are. Embrace the chaos.
met you at adepticon, you were not weird! but also, awkward and weird make some of the best people
How can I help!?!? XD I can 3D model and animate, been building robots for over a decade now so I can help with anything electronics related, I can program apps, websites, games, you name it, I can help edit videos, I can help test 3d prints and I've gotten pretty good at supporting resin prints, and I can do a whole lot more! Even if I have to learn how to do something to help you I'd be more than happy to. You've been such an inspiration to me and I'd do anything to help you do more cool shit! I'd really really really love to help in any way I can! (Maybe not financially cause that's not going great rn 😅😂)
I get a lot of adam savage vibes from you with your clumsiness and exitability and overall demeanor.. High energy, a lot of fun and inspiring.
My introduction to crafting and miniatures is D&D. My introduction to Warhammer was a fan created series that got shut down by Games Workshop so I have a bit of resentment towards Warhammer. I avoid creators who do primarily Warhammer stuff but I like what you do with Warhammer stuff.
I have been an editor for a very long time, and I always get asked about gear! My answer isn't what people want to hear, though... Gear doesn't matter if you don't know how to edit. A bad editor with great gear still makes terrible content. A good editor will find a way to make anything work... and you do some great editing!
I really enjoy the crusty human nature of your filming and art.
at 12:20 i thought you said "what is one BILL that you hate".....
Hello again 😁
8:51 Kinda awesome?! THATS SICK
fourth:) love your other videos, looking forward to watching this!
Trent your honesty and creativity are a boon to our community.
When ye have a collection of tools, each with their own stories and idiosyncrasies, ye know you’re truly doing something!

Oh man those minis are looking great 👌
I've admired the Miscast Studio many times. Does It have a name that you've given It? I've oft times daydreamed of a dedicated creative space. I'm sorry to hear that the rent is just barely within reach. A prefunctory search of my own of the local region yielded similar results. I appreciated the honest answer in reply to what question would you like folks to ask. Regards.
To be honest, you weren't awkward in person, you were an awesome chap to get to know and I did worry about your sleep! I was just glad to be able to bring brekkie and caffeine to you and Tine at the lab!
@Miscast
Жыл бұрын
the brekkie and caffeine was a massive delight NJ, thankyou!
Try to get your equipment repaired, it might not be as much as you think! I've damaged plenty of very expensive cameras and it's usually only around $300.
QUESTION: How did you use A.I to help you make an RPG?
I just found turnip28 a while back. I'd love to see you take it on. I think the aesthetic matches your style well.
I met you at Adepticon (I'm the one that made the Vince stickers) and can confirm it was really awkward! It was okay, though, because I'm also really awkward. lol
Those exposed lenses are making me uncomfortable, not to mentioned the exposed cameras. 😬
Alright, so, I write copy for a living, I paint minis a ton, I do playtesting and game design, I'm now sculpting and printing minis but I'm seeing the competition and feeling left behind before I've started, so how can I help?
O R K, very noice
Day one of asking you to sell me the garbo toad. Okay, but for real: I am loving these vlogs. (Also, don't feel bad about your sleep schedule. We just want to make sure you're taking care of yourself. I say that as somebody who woke up at *two in the morning* today.)
we see bans on ai art at popculture events around the worlds
Good video
have you seen the movie Mad God by Phil Tippett? Your art reminds me a lot of this style

What music do you listen too to when building
Night shift!!!!!!
Do you have flying cars in the future
Why did you keep licking the greenstuff knife?
Did “you” write it with AI? Not a slam, legit question on AI being used.
Your heart surgeon friend is wrong and should know better. Sleep is crucial.
Late again, two times in a row damnit
Just a heads up, the whole idea that structure and routine hurts creativity is false and has been proven wrong time after time.
Hey Trent, not a publisher or sponsor or anything, but I'm a composer and recording artist very versatile in music/sound design. Can I help?
Total ignorant Warhammer rules. I thought they were sticklers to using the official miniatures .
Ai art and whatever is already starting to feed back on itself. It got better at tasks but lost a lot of what made its ideas interesting.
I love your vids and this one is no exception, but I’m not sure if you were aware that most Ai generated stuff is unethical. As Ai generated images especially; steal from artists’ original work to actually generate the images. I don’t know too much when it comes to Ai generated writing and tables but I’d wager it works exactly the same albeit taking existing pieces of writing and changing it a bit to match what your looking to “generate”. I’m not saying you are at fault for not knowing or making it clear your stance on Ai “art” and such, I was just letting you know incase you didn’t know :)
@feelfreetoleave
Жыл бұрын
so the Ai is... kitbashing? why is it unethical, it generates until the user is satisfied, it has no own purpose to create :)
@LD25011
Жыл бұрын
Kitbashing is combined bits and pieces that someone sold for the purpose of other people using. AI takes peoples work without their permission.
@drier_cola

@@feelfreetoleavekitbashing is not the right word to describe it. Whereas pieces are being reused and sold as originally products by large companies, digital artists are very starved when it comes to income and Ai generated images does not buy the rights to use their art for “kitbashing”, it steals their art without permission and hobbles it together. Another difference between kitbashing and Ai generated images is that Kitbashing is a creative outlet in its own right, but Ai cannot create anything new or interesting, it is a tool that is easily abused to remove the credit from hardworking starved artists.

Personally I think people are vastly overestimating ai. Ai can’t make a game. Not a coherent or balanced one. You mentioned it coming up with monsters and items, but that is the fun part of making games. Actually making the rules will be something only humans can do.
ai images - ai cant make art
