What a fantastic holiday idea! My grandfather was a professional baker and an all-around Renaissance man, everyone held him in the highest regard, your enthusiastic curiosity and creative spirit very much remind me of him. I grew up helping in the bakery but do not have any amazing baking hints except that hard work and always keeping things fun are all you ever really need!

Hoi Felix, your Ideas are every time wonderful astonishing and innovative! 👍 But this one is in fact SWEET too! Absolutely great and a "Musthave" for Cookie- and Victorinox-Lovers! "Spitzbuben" and "Linzer Augen" (a variant with two layers and three round holes in the top-layer are my favorite cookies too and i bet, i would love the "Victorimmler 111 cookies" even twice as much! Victorinox should offer them! (For People which do not have a workshop and/or 3D-Printer. Thank you for this again gorgeous, informative, heartwarming and mindblowing video! LG

In the USA, we can get silver food coloring, and also silver-colored sugar, from stores that sell cake-making supplies. I don’t know if they are available in Europe, but if they are, you could make the knife blade silver-colored, if you want to.

If that perforated steel is galvanized, then it will probably need to be washed thoroughly. It was not manufactured for food preparation, so the zinc coating itself might not be a problem, but any impurities or alloying materials in the coating might be a bit of a concern.
