How To Make A Spacenet: Part 4 Weaving

Hey Everybody! I've now made an intro video, a "How to buy materials" video and a first time setup video about spacenets so here is the final part of the series! This video goes over how to weave your net once it's setup and you have that empty space of canvas to work. I go over the insanity method which essentially just randomness piled into a beautiful mess of strings. I also go over a more patterned approach for those of you that like the aesthetic of patterns and such :)

I've now made four spacenets with the most recent one having a 15m x 15m x 15m perimeter. This was huge! I made a few mistakes along the way and learned a lot of new things. I'd like to share the do's and dont's with all of you so that your first spacenet making experience is a fun one! Stay tuned for part 4!!

Dude awesome video. This is such a niche hobby but I’m trying to get into it and learn more.

I like your style man this is the best tutorial ive seen so far. Just missing some info as in what kind of knots do you use for the first thick ropes to make the triangle. And what kind of ropes are best. Polyester or nylon or polypropylene ropes and how thick? Also could you make a flat skyplatform to put a tent on? Cheers

You can use any knot that’s appropriate for joining two ropes. As far as rope, use anything really static and strong. Don’t go off brand on this kinda stuff…

when you made the first bit of the net when you took that neon green rope and tied it around the other bits of the same rope were you doing the clove hitch every time or just looping it around?
