    Great video man, very informative! Unfortunately I’m not too much into high lining (yet). I want to learn tricklining, do you maybe have any recommendations for beginner trick lines?

    My favourite knot is the bowline, it's easy, it's fancy, it hold well and can still be undone after puting a lot of tension on it!

    if you just have rope and no gadgets, a rolling hitch will grip rope and tension it, or the old truck drivers load tying trick, the dolly knot

    One of my favorite knots to use is the truckers hitch, you can technical.y use it for a tree net if you don't have any tools but it doesn't get a lot of tension

    In general I use 10mm Static Rope! 😊 I can’t recommend a specific rope as my usage changes depending on price, availability, color, etc… But Sterling and Black Diamond are great companies to look into! 😊

    Wooo! finally a video strictly on tensioning a full loop. I think I ended up coming up with this same solution using ratchet straps as you said. but damn the pulleys looks so easy. personally a fan of the trucker's hitch for its self tensioning and easy release

    Just so you guys know, you need to use at a minimum, 1 inch webbing to make the perimeter on the trees otherwise the rope will cut in to and damage the trees. Also, make sure you take your nets down every 5 - 10 years to keep them from killing the trees even if you use proper webbing. I've tried to explain this to him before but he is still teaching people improperly.

  • @treenetweaves
    @treenetweaves8 күн бұрын

    Thanks for your comment. All of the nets we build do NOT touch the trees. We use wood block spacers to ensure the tree can still properly get its nutrients. I would NOT recommend placing even 1 or even 2 inch webbing directly on a tree. This will still kill it.

    Favorite knot is wire pulling knot! Super similar to the prusik/autoblock/klemheist knots you use for the friction. May actually be the autoblock but slightly different. Have you heard of it before?

  • @treenetweaves
    @treenetweaves8 күн бұрын

    I’ve never heard of it! I’ll have to Google it 😊

  • @brysonlloyd8017
    @brysonlloyd80175 күн бұрын

    @@treenetweaves ohhh I see it’s not like the prusik/etc because it’s used with the end of a rope, not a closed loop. Essentially does the same thing as autoblock in the end though

  • @treenetweaves
