You guys rock for showing this. It’s definitely worth it- most Jean skirts in stores fall right off of me with no shape but flipping jeans I love really works.

Lmao I wore skirts above my knees when I was like 1..Now I am 14 and my mom doesn't allow me to wear shorts and short skirts..You get judged by society if you wear something small..😔wish I could wear those 👗 and skirts 😭

Extra tip, I personally recommend using a stiff pair of actual denim jeans rather than anything stretchy. You can make it work with skinny jeans but plain old denim is so much easier to work with, especially if you’re a beginner. I’m about to try this so wish me luck lol. I just need to find my seam ripper

Tip: cut the jeans to near the length you want your skirt to be before you seam rip. It'll save you a lot of time. You just seam rip shorts that way

i hand sewed this from a pair of denim shorts from target LOL here are some precautions: after pinning the skirt (i used safety pins bc i didnt have sewing pins) TRY IT ON to make sure the fit isnt awkward also would not recommend hand sewing it very much does not look professional

You just need to pull those free stands with a tweezer, or you can use a sandpaper and rub the free strands
