How To Make A Single Ended Spray Using Less Foliage

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

How to create a single ended spray design with a different approach to making.
Ingredients - single tray and single block of wet floral foam, orange roses, orange black eyed gerbera, blue iris, eringyiu, limonium, liatris, fatsia leaves, coccuylus, leather leaf fern, skimmia and a touch of salal.
When creating a design we tend to create a full base of foliage first, but in this video we look at creating a single ended spray design with a touch of base foliage, then the flowers and only add final foliage to finish. Why? Well this allows a clear placement of the flowers and it also means we use less foliage. With a striking colour scheme of orange and purple we hope you like the final result. Why not give this approach a go?

    I love that color combination. A few years ago, I sent a funeral spray of these colors to my best friends Fathers funeral. I felt the colors matched his Fathers personality. He was a very happy and fun man.

    Rewatching this video for the tenth time. Love, love base medium work. Thanks, John and Janos. Love, love your flow and movement. Out of so many tutorials put there on the internet, I feel like I strucked a lottery when I stumbled upon yours three years ago at the beginning of my florist career. It gave me a solid foundation and now that I'm at College, I feel like I really maximise my direct learning because of what I've learnt from you. Virtual and hands on on-site direct teaching that are complimenting each other. Thank you so much.

  • @FlowerJoos

    @FlowerJoos

    3 жыл бұрын

    Thank you! The single ended sprays tend to be a much better cost level for other family tributes rather than the main family - so can range from low to high - it depends on what the customer wants. It depends on many things - the size, the content, the time of year, how you price stems and labour - but for this style of funeral item I would suggest a range from £50 - £100 roughly - this being probably £70 - £80 .
