How to make a SINGLE ENDED FUNERAL SPRAY - FLORISTRY - How to make a funeral spray in foam.

The design is usually referred to as a Single Ended Funeral Spray, but may often be called a Spray on Oasis, Oasis spray or simply a Funeral Spray. This type of spray is shorter on one side and longer on the opposite side rather than equal length as seen with the Double Ended Funeral Spray
This type of arrangement have an outline shape similar to a teardrop of a kite. Its if often send to friends, neighbours or work colleagues or close family members. Flower choices can considerably change the appearance of the design from a country, informal style to a more modern, simple style with interesting textured foliage and more dramatic flowers.
If you are new to arranging, take a few minutes to view my Back to Basics series which will explain how to create a very all round arrangement using a minimal amount of flowers.

    Could you give a list of the foliage names and the daisy type flowers you use for infilling? I don't hear well and didn't catch the names. I used to do a lot of floristry, but not for a long time now and am somewhat out of touch. I love your videos and find them very helpful, as I'm a bit rusty! Well done for being such a good teacher. Thank you.

    the white flower is an Aster commonly known as September flower, and the foliage is myrtle, soft ruscus and leather leaf. There is always a list of flowers and foliage in the description box, if you need help

    Why do you use a half block of foam rather than a whole block?

  • @sharondower

    @sharondower

    3 жыл бұрын

    To make a smaller design. If you have a whole block, you'll need more foliage and flowers to cover it, then you'll end up with a visually heavy centre section. Large foam = large design, small foam = small design. Hope that helps 😃

    @@sharondower thank you. I've just made a single ended spray for the funeral of my Nephew in law for tomorrow's funeral, and it's lovely, in white and purple. I found your video very helpful, after so many years away from floristry.
