I love this project. I made mine with 12 inch mesh to accommodate larger produce like apples and onions. That way I can accommodate all my produce. Thank you for this project.

I really wish you had also filmed actually sewing the seams. As a visual learner that would have been very helpful!

I also missed when you sewed together the bottom of the bag... did you do that at the same time you did the 1/4 seam on the sides?

Yes, stitch the side and bottom at the same time. I have a blogpost on this project that might help. you can find it here. sewverycrafty.com/how-to-make-a-reusable-produce-bag/

Excellent tute! Remember to weigh your bag so that you have a tare weight to provide to the clerk...otherwise, you pay for the weight of your bag every time its used .

Can the cashier adjust the weight by minus the weight of the bag? I haven’t asked …. Does anyone know ? I am in Canada so not sure if grocery stores have calibrated their cash registers for adjustments . We are on the journey to stop use of single use plastic , but we are not that far along yet. It takes time to adopt changes . This is a great tutorial! Thank you for teaching us. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 I will be making some for my use and then teach my extended family to be kinder to Mother Earth ….great Xmas gift idea !

Hi! 2 quick questions for you> What type of mesh did you use and how long did you cut the cording? thanks!

I used standard utility mesh from Joann's and I used 1 yd of cotton cording for the drawstring.
