Very nice tutorial and technique. I had switched to a regular English eye when I was still making whips, finally doing an experimental build again and it precludes me from starting from the tip as was normal for me and I didn’t really want to do a standard hitch with a 6 plait tip, but this technique should adapt very nicely

The answer depends on how you want to taper the whip, generally want roughly 4 more strands on the next layer, ie 16 strands over 12, 8 over 4, etc. double the length you need the strand to cover

For some reason every fall hitch I make ends up falling apart and I basically end up singing strands together to the point where it's impossible for them to slip. How much more secure is this than a regular 4 point fall hitch both without being waxed?

It's really secure. If you make it right, it should last as long as the whip.

Do you just add the pseudo English eye to an existing whip with a traditional fall hitch?

if you mean the coreless stuff, then yes. I don't use it because its the same price as 550 cord.

@@caliberwhips9595 in most of nicks videos he starts out explaining what he is talking about and plus you were SUPER quiet like Nick is usually in his videos. I personally think nick is awesome af and I think the same about you so I guess my mind was like hey!! its nick but it was you.
