Фильм және анимация
Making your own candles can be incredibly simple. You will need beeswax, coconut oil, candle wicks, and jars of your choice. In this video, I share with you how to make candles in your instant pot (or pot with boiling water) and why you will love making your own candles over the synthetic ones from the stores.

Also cloths line clips work great for holding your wicks
Great video. You are truly adorable. I scent my beeswax/coco blend candles with some essential oils, resins and dry spices. I have a proprietary process that I can't publicly share here, but the outcome when you light them is pure magic, and your room will automatically become a non toxic sacred space. Great for meditation, reflection, and / or contemplation. Yoga and college students love them. I only sell or gift them to family, friends and my local community for now but I hope to put up a website soon and offer them to you all ✌️🤟🤙
This tutorial is exactly what I was looking for. I have MCS and can only use non toxic candles. Thank you, Rigel.

Yay, glad it was helpful! Enjoy your new candles!
Nice tutorial. 🙌 dont forget to use heat resistant glass jars.
Great video. Love how you focus on what’s safe for the environment. I just found your channel and subscribed I’m looking forward to learning more about candle making from you. Thank you.
Excellent simplicity, thank you. How true - the outrageous quantity of essential oil required really does destroy more than it blesses - you lose more than you gain.
thank you 🙏🙏 very simple explanation

You’re welcome!
Can you mix herbs and spices and dried fruit in to get a decent smell in place of the essential oils?
Love the video, great tutorial all around. I am curious though, why are all the products in your list sold out? Are candle making materials a hot commodity now a days or is it just a bad time to buy these products, lol?
I love this idea for gifts. Good to know that it isn't effective to put essential oil in the candles. I have 2 diffusers, so I can use those for a scented atmosphere.

I hope you love these candles and make a bunch for gifts! ❤️
Do you have a video with exact measurements. i can't go by 70 percent and 20 percent leaves to much room for error. Thank you in advance.
You may be adding your eos too soon. Youŕ wax needs to be at around 160°, unlike other waxes with fos that get added at 180,you may be burning off the oils. Cinnamon leaf oil goes much further than lavender, and orange oil doesn't produce much smell unless its 10×distilled. Some oils can be more toxic than paraffin. The oil you use will mean everything to a natural candle

Thank you. It's complicated, a science, really.
Going to try and make some candles next week. I checked out the wicks you posted and it says they are pre-waxed. Do you know it’s paraffin?

I’m not sure. The most important thing I look for is lead-free wicks. You can use any brand you like.
Can you add a link to all the supplies you need to make this?

Beeswax and coconut oils are very expensive and push candles into the not affordable category for many. Im sticking to soy for container candles and paraffin for pillar candles. Your point about fumes is important and candle makers should actually wear respirators. Many do.

Paraffin candles are toxic.

@jakekeller6637 Yes, but customers are reluctant to pay the higher prices of soy candles...
What do you make of those who say that essential oil vapours are not meant to be inhaled? I stopped using my diffuser because of this... Got scared. Need to look more into it but I'm afraid we are not meant to be inhaling essential oil vapours.

A diffuser doesn't use heat. As long as it's therapeutic grade it's safe. She's talking about when it's being burned.

You can check out young living essential oils. High grade therapeutic oil. They are 100% natural essential oils and I’ve been using them for almost a year now. You can even apply them directly on your skin.

So right to be scared. A lady contantly burning oils in her home lost her beloved African Grey parrot that way. Still can't forgive herself.
Can I use candle molds for this time of non toxic candle

Can you use dyes or pigments with beeswax?
@rigelsmith
Жыл бұрын
I haven't researched it but I would think yes.
It’s also the wax that is toxic. Bees wax candles are healing and can help heal lung diseases. Thank you for your video.
How long do they burn?
@rigelsmith
Жыл бұрын
I haven’t timed them and it would depend on the size of your jar. I feel like they burn as long if not longer than paraffin candles.
Beeswax is not Cruelty Free. Look up Factory bee farms.

Unfortunately, all of life in general is not cruelty free. We do the best that we can to minimize the abuse, hurt, and pain. I buy my beeswax from small local bee keepers and farmers in my area who love to make honey but have no interest in making candles. Humans have been harvesting honey and reaping its rewards for ages now. I pray the bees know how much we love and need them 🐝🙏🐝

@@symbolikartsLooking at the broad candlecraft scene, the hypocrisy astounds me. Everyone is jumping on the 'natural and 'pure' bandwagon, conveniently forgetting to mention the cruelty involved in commercial beeswax production and that soy wax and wocks are not necessairily devoid of chemicals. They know that if they mention this, they will lose an important sales pitch and motivator. And to be frank, only serious or professional candle makers would consider trying to source small, local beekeepers.
Great video! We offer coconut wax candles and supplies. Check us out!
