How to make a maker's caddy from a damaged vintage quilt

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

My Maker Caddies are one of my most popular products--they're perfect for folks who knit, crochet, or do any sort of hand-stitching. They sit by your side, and stay open, and hold all your goodies!
I'm preparing for Wool & Folk and Rhinebeck (the NY State Sheep and Wool Festival) next weekend (Oct. 20-22, 2023), so I need a LOT of these caddies!

Thank you for this video - love ideas for using vintage quilt scraps! Have you considered adding pockets of any kind? If not, is it simply for time sake, or do you find they’re not enough of a value add to those purchasing?

The caddies are rather short (only 5-6” tall) so I felt that a pocket wouldn’t be that useful, unless it was more along the lines of a gardeners/tool caddy that had a long narrow pocket.

@@m.a.b.e.l I was thinking to hold scissors, pens, or glue sticks, those type of things that might be easier to find/grab if upright along the side. Being a shorter bag does make things easier to find so I understand.

please please. that filler music only detracts. we are here to see you sew, not listen to a loop. removing it will not detract from your purpose and it will keep folks like me from having to fuss with the volume back and forth and guess when you are speaking to turn it back up. inevitably requiring a rewind to catch the beginning of your helpful explanations. love your work and presentation method, not so much the music fuss.

Thanks for the constructive comment-my most recent video, I’ve cut down on the music. I hope this helps! I’ll be doing more tutorials in the new year, and am working on camera angles and speaking more slowly and step by step.
