@markbrouwer4901

Just DON'T buy a 2nd hand helmet. I dont say every 2nd hand helmet is bad but there are a lot of clone's out there with a populair brand sticker on it which will most likely kill you rather than saving your life in case of an accident. Also you dont know the history of that helmet, the previous owner may have dropped it without having much damage on the outside but on the inside there may be damage. Me personally would just save up a few hundreds dollars extra to get new gear than buy it for cheap from some pawn shop

I thought this guy should be get crush test until didn't see the end of part, it'll be fine.
For everyone questioning the safety, he used tools and processes consistent with what factories do to make this exact same helmet in its carbon version. I know it's not tested and he should never sell it - he probably has no intention of ever doing it as multiple lawsuits would income very quickly - but this is probably even safer than what he started with. There is A LOT of overlay between the carbon fiber sheets, so the helmet would never split in half. Also he used the original padding, which is certified. The engineering is preserved by his moulding technique. He could take this to a track and he would be as protected, if not more, than someone using for instance a cheap SA2020 helmet.
