Taryl thanks for this. As always things are just a bit more complicated. As I have no doubt you know. For example a Echo SMR-2410 weed whacker comes up SMR type 1 or SMR type 1E. All the tag says is SRM-2410. If I enter the engine family that is on the tag THE024UB24R in the model space it says not found. I tried swapping an o for zero and vice versa with the same results. Yes They have a phone number. However Amazon has among the choices a complete carb and refresh kit for $16 that says it is for the SRM--2410. For this price one has to wonder about reliability but not the country of origin.

Thanks for the info my friend. I will bookmark those sites. I have an old Krohler 8hp and I was surprised when you brought that up on the site. Very cool! :) I lucked out recently on eBay when searching for head gaskets for an old Onan. I like to take an extra step and get the part number from the manufacturer and search eBay or even Craigslist. Once in a while you get lucky, but you gotta be careful and read the fine print. Very time consuming but helpful if you're really pinching pennies or if you got something obsolete. By the way I know a nice girl from the interscreen that's looking for a guy. I'll give you my P.O. box number if you wanna mail a check for more info lol! ;). I'll accept PayPal too! Hee hee hee!

I for sure need new headlights I have seen some LED ones around any thoughts on where I can get some or if I can even adapt them to the DC/AC thing this Gilson has going on? +ProParts Direct Sorry for the delay, you know life gets in the way some times. :) So the model number of my 75 16Hp Gilson is blank, must have been cleaned off with time and chemicals. Here is what I have for the motor Model: 326437, Type: 0135-03, Code: 7512221 what I would be looking for on the motor at this time is a complete (or as close as I can get) tune up kit, Air cleaner filter, Rectifier/Regulator, Carb rebuild kit (the most complete kit I can get), later this spring I am going to go over the motor and may need some gaskets maybe some rings tho there is no sign of them being warn you just don't know what you will get into once there. For the mower its self (not sure if you can do anything with out the model number) Belts (all of them are bad), tires (front for now), blades for the deck (42" stock deck), the trans has a very small leak so I will eventually need to fix that seems like it maybe a hose not sure, Head lights would prefer LED if I can get them, Battery, may need more things once I start the restore this spring. I have sub'd your channel and will check out the videos over the next few days. Also if you want I have a video of my Gilson on my channel its the January 2016 Update video the Gilson part of the video is from about 1:05 min mark for about 7min's. Thanks again for looking into this!

Just remember this, think of those screws as water valves when you turn them out you give it more gas turned in less gas. So sounds like you need more gas so open them a little at a time. start with the one closest to the motor.

Taryl, you make great videos and these videos have helped me immensely. Maybe you can direct me to the help that I need, this will be long and sorry about that but maybe someone reading this can help me out? I wish someone would do a video on deciphering the numbers on a Craftsman Eager-1, side discharge, 22" mulcher with a 4.5 Tecumseh engine. The only numbers That I have are: Engine tag: Model 143.034502 DOM: 03128CE0369 Engine Family: 3TPXS . 1482BA Deck Tag: Model: 917.387360 Serial: 050903M 063602 All I can figure out is that it was made in 2003, every site asks for "Spec number" and there isn't a spec number anywhere to be found on the engine tag or deck tag, found by me anyway. I cant find anything stamped anywhere on this engine unless the important numbers are hidden under the fly wheel. There are however plenty of other numbers but the searches and/or sites that I visit all have a diagram of finding the number/s that I need but there isn't anything on this mower that starts with a TV, OV, or any other letters I click on Craftsman and it automatically jams "Husqvarna/AYP" into a drop down box and then I can't find any familiar numbers off of the engine oe deck stickers. I have the carb off of the mower and can't find anything from the numbers underneath where the float is or from the crappy "Engraved" numbers on the flange the bolts to the intakes. This is all based on IF I am even seeing the correct, "Stamped" number on the carb. It looks as though Tecumseh gave a 5 year old, epileptic kid a dose of two Adderalls, a center punch, a soft blow hammer, and then instructed the kid to pound the numbers onto the carburetors, using only the center punch, soft blow hammer and the steady hand of this kid. It may be time for the Tannerite, my .30-06 and a hay field! Kidding, I will keep trying to find a number somewhere else but then, that is the definition of insanity, to keep doing the same thing over and over, expecting different results and this parts look up for what I need is driving me to insanity I will call Pro Parts Direct and see if they can help my dumb ass out Keep up the good work and humor Mr. Taryl, it's a PSA to idiots such as myself

Taryl Add my former problem to your list of "All that Taryl has fixed" You are now considered a God in my house, not sure what type of God but it's "Goodin" I will put your picture in every corner and every wall in my garage and I will put a big picture of you right above my bench! Kidding but sir, I do appreciate your help and fast response as the carburetor on my son's old Craftsman mower is in dire need of some fixin I figured that I could find the parts that I need from the few numbers from underneath the top of the carb, where the float covers up, just to look for a new carburetor, but no joy in Mudville with the legible numbers where the float is or the crappy number that was center punched on the flange Thank you again sir!

Cool...partsdirect.net thanks Tarl I need to buy a new conecting rod for a Toro zero turn with a Briggs % Stratton single cylinder Intec 16 hp...I checked for a loose carbitraitor screw but that wasn't the case. It does have a rod knock. Anyhow I will clean up the crankshaft and install the new rod. And get a new toothbrush for crying out loud...this crap is crappie
