How to live on £1 a day | Vegan on a budget | DAY 4
This week I thought I would challenge myself and see if I could create healthy vegan meals for five days with only £5! 💸 While I would have loved to have not bought anything wrapped in plastic it wasn't possible with the budget that I had. For some reason food in my local area is cheaper when it's wrapped in plastic! (whyyyyyy?!) I always try my hardest to use as little plastic as possible in my daily life and so this was an exception, but it really highlighted the problems out society have with the amount of unnecessary plastic being used.
This is day 4 of my 5 day challenge, I hope you enjoyed cooking with me and hope that I have inspired you to be a creative in the kitchen and see what you can come up with when you only have very limited ingredients and also that i've showed that Veganism can be as cheap or expensive as you make it.

This is by far my favourite "live below the line" challenge. So much inspiration ! So many people are eating like 10 time the same thing... I've lived on a very low budget a few years ago 40€ for the month. And when it's your routine, you manage to eat very various food. Smoothie, pancakes, burgers, pad thai, fried rice, beans curry, houmous... I was just missing fruits so much ! Because it was just bananas, apple and clementines... sometimes you miss some mango, strawaberries, avocado, watermelon 😍 I can aford a bit of those now and I'm feeling so grateful ! 😊
You did an amazing job, making all sorts of different dishes with so little. You have such creativity! You have really inspired me to spend so much less on groceries.

You make it look so simple and easy :) :) so cool that you kinda but did make naan bread, still can't believe you made so many different things with oats and water that's just awesome :) :)

Hahah i'm glad. with so few ingredients it was pretty easy, the hardest part was thinking of recipes and staying under budget. 😂
Everything you've made this far on this challenge, looks very healthy & freshly made...& might I say, you bought A Lot of food for under £5! Well done❣

It was 1/2 - 1 cup of oatmeal and then 1 cup of water, but change the quantities until you get the thickness you like. I would suggest adding garlic/onion powder and maybe some mixed herbs depending on how you want it to taste. 😊 ❤️

Oh no! I'm glad you found them again 😊 It's very strange, we were together non stop for so long. It's nice sometimes to do our own thing but we miss each others company when we're not together. The thing i'm finding the hardest is the loss of independence i've got now that i'm living back at home. Gotta juggle other peoples lives fitting into our own and spend our time living in two different houses, either together or appart. It's a pain but it just how it has to be at the moment unfortunately! Gotta save some pennies for our next travels. Hope you're doing well. 😊

Haha. It's hard to find royalty free music for youtube, sorry you didn't enjoy it. Hopefully my free music taste got better in the year since I made this video. Glad you enjoyed the recipes at least 😊
