From a Christian perspective this makes a lot of sense. If you believe that God is in control of your life and that you're doing your best to please Him, then we should expect Him to bring the right person along, and we should be able to recognize her when we see her. I think it's also true, as you say, that we have to move forward along our own path whether it's the path she's on or not. If love is the most powerful force in the universe, it has the power to change hearts and minds, to do above all that we ask or think.

I feel I may have met mine. We’re not “together” in a formal sense but the connection is palpable to us both. We have both been the runner and we’ve both been the chaser;m. The chaser was driven by both lust and a deep sense that we belonged together. The runner couldn’t deny this, but was too hurt to stop running. Now, I think we’re both free - we’ve given each other the space the other needs to be. I miss my person dearly. I think we will reunite but it may not be just yet.

I was looking for a roommate when my twin flame showed up. Interesting too. I specified, no pets. But she contacted me anyway, and asked if her having a dog would be a problem. I said no, since I grew up with dogs. We clicked right away when she came to view the place and too meet me. Everything has been different since. 2 months ago I had severe stomach bloating and discomfort so I visited the ER at around 3 AM, there I met a lady doctor who gave me some medicine and told me to relax, then we got into a long one on one chat for about 2.5 hours. After going home and recovering 2 days later I started missing her very very badly, I felt like listening to party music all the time, it felt like life is a party. About 2 weeks later I went to the hospital and gave her a gift, she was absolutely delighted and we chatted again for 2 hours or more and exchanged numbers. It might exist but it doesn't necessarily equal happiness, good relationship, mutuality. What if you love a vampire and he loves you...a person with darker traits. You can hardly be together. Better not to actually. I've come from far and I've been on this so-called journey for a very long time and it's awfully romanticised. Yes it's a big big love, maybe even true love. And it's gonna push you around until you choose yourself. That's the purpose here. Because are you happy at all and at peace? Dr Ramani said there was an eerie similarity between this Twinflame concept and the narcissist - codependent dance and I agree. Whether there's more to it, is everyone's guess or personal fate/ experience. Often there is not. Nevertheless it's extremely important and life-changing. The obsession helps to grow a pearl out of your suffering, otherwise you'd have left this scene long ago. That's what this crazy attachment/ love is for primarily, to keep you there and keep you searching for your truth. But once you arrived Home in Yourself, it's a win or win for you. All outcomes are happy for you and you let go of outcome number 3, you don't need it or wish for it. Because happily alone as long as you feel it, or with a person who is genuinely a good match, is just as perfect for you. Control of the outcome, living in a parallel universe, wishing etc. is gone. You live your life here and now, in the reality, and you enjoy it. You see things as they are and you accept them as they are. There's no bypassing, no shortcuts in this development because it's yours. You have to learn to be honest and authentic with yourself about who you are, what are your needs etc. In a way this person helps you, it's a constant reminder. Twin flames are at different energy levels until they work on themselves continuously and there comes a time when they are at the exact same frequency level. That is the time of union and that is when they become soul mates! The other soul mates that we meet in our lives are actually soul tribe but the twin flames are exact replicas at energy levels when they harmonize at union. Hope it helps 😊

In the past I did not believe in the twin flame thing, until it happened. It was alll exactly as you described. Aliki, did this happen to you? You have explained it so perfectly that I wonder if you have experienced it. I feel that a twin flame may not be the best match, but I guess I'll never know. If this concept is true from what I've read over the past 9 months alot of people don't actually end up together or in union So I just wonder what is the whole point of it if you can't shake this person from your thoughts . You say to yourself there is actually no one else I want to be with apart from this person But the mental pain is so immense especially when the person you suspect is your twin has started dating someone else after you had met them . I can understand the pain, havin gone thru it for 6 yrs myself. No matter how hard you try, you can't stop thinking about them and love them with the same intensity, each day. I gave up once and thought this cycle of obsession would never end. But it did! This year. Previously, whenever I tried to move my attention away, kept on going back. For the past few months, I noticed the gradual shift of energy away from the connection towards myself. It happened by itself as if by divine timing and I reached a state of surrender and inner peace. I don't know what's happening on the other side but I have a feeling that the tables have turned and the energies have reversed. But it doesn't matter to me anymore. The love is pretty much the same but the craving and obsession is gone. Fingers crossed to see what happens next 😊
