    True labor signs with #1 insane nesting for 2 weeks leading up which makes sense because it was my first and I didn’t have other babies wearing me out. #2 day before I had emotional outbursts, crying, mad, wanted to escape my body, over false labor. #3 bloody show (dime size amount) 48 hours before. #4 early contractions for weeks was induced at 4cm Also True early labor is very irregular lol Active labor from 5-8cm is consistent.

    Hello, 35 weeks here due 12/15 I was experiencing rectal sharp shooting pains and contraction like cramping in abdominal area consistently Saturday, subsided and returned Sunday and sparatically Monday. Saw doctor Monday for my scheduled appt. They were not going to check my cervix by standard they check 37 weeks but once I mentioned I was experiencing, they decided to check. I was not dilated and no effacement. The doctor said there is sooo much pressure on my cervix she could tell by how purple it was, she decided to do ultrasound where we witnessed the baby in position head squishing against the cervix. She said make sure your bags are packed. I told her my first born 9 years ago I experienced braxton hicks for 3 weeks and 3cm dilated for 3 weeks prior to onset of active labor. I was in active labor an hour and half then my son was born 4 pushes, it was very rapid and scary for a first pregnancy experiencing it all so quickly. This time, I am at a loss because I thought maybe these were Braxton hicks I was experiencing. After doctor did check and ultrasound I asked if they were Braxton hicks and she said, no these are real contractions without cervical change, for now. So that helped me to understand that I'm not going crazy I am experiencing something just not quiet ready yet. Thank you for the video, I never heard of this type of thing until the doctor brought it to my attention and I did some research. Thank you again!

    I had all of the “true labor” symptoms that was actually false labor. It was rough! It was yesterday at 40+5. Now I just have what feels like a bruised pubic bone... both front and back!!

  • @DanceePinkston

    @DanceePinkston

    3 жыл бұрын

    I personally have experienced “false” labor for weeks for both of my pregnancies and both times it was because of babies positioning. One was facing the wrong direction. My water broke instantly after she turned around facing my spine. I did exercises to spin her (I have a video). My second I was in “false” labor for 5 days with 3-10min apart contractions. Her elbows were criss crossed and I believe just couldn’t get fully engaged. Finally I went to the bathroom and I believe it made enough room. My water broke and she was in my arms in under 2hours. So I use the word false labor lightly to show its your body making progress and working hard. It’s not all for nothing and is making your uterus stronger. But it could also be a sign that baby needs to get in a better birthing position (head down facing spine). Hoped that helped you understand what in the world that was yesterday a little better. I know it’s hard and confusing, but the best piece of advice I received for my soon birth in June was to “trust my body” and the incredible process of birth. It’s alright to have all the feelings, but I would encourage you to release your fears and expectations. Baby will be with you soon Momma!

    That’s kind of a strange “rule”. During my first labor my contractions never got regular. My midwife (Denmark) told me as of today that irregular contractions is almost just as normal as regular, but it’s of course a great indicator if they are regular.

    no shame in that it is a confusing topic! I did have a super fast labor! My water broke randomly at 40 weeks and 3 days and i took that as my sign to go to the hospital..had her 3 hours later! False labor sucks. I had it all day and night consistently after about 10pm...just for them to stop completely at 5am 😒🙄😑 it was so discouraging. Thankfully I'm giving birth at home so I didn't go into the hospital just to be induced. But I was about to get my birth pool ready and wake up my husband and then it was over. They were too uncomfortable to sleep through so I thought for sure it was real.

    In one video u mentioned we should not take a bath in early labour as it will slow the process and in this video you said, we should take a bath . So, now should we or we shouldn't??

  • @DanceePinkston

    @DanceePinkston

    Жыл бұрын

    This is just a quick bath test. You determine if you are in true labor or not this way. The bath will slow things but will pick right back up once you get out of the bath if it is true labor. Some moms like to labor in a birth pool and my recommendation is to wait until after active labor. Early labor can take hours and even days!

    I am 40 weeks and my midwive said there has been no progress with my cervix and since I've had a Csec with my first baby they might do csection due to risk of uterine rupture..... I deep down do not believe in this and want to continue trying for the most natural birth as possible....I want to wait until my body says it's time ....do you think it's a good idea or a dangerous one for the baby? I've tried all the streching and walking and everything already but so far nothing .....

    Listen to your momma intuition! Find some Vbac Facebook groups for encouragement! Dilation is not everything and really tells you nothing. Promoting birthing hormone and good Baby positioning and baby head engagement are the most important.

    @@DanceePinkston thank you! I'm really trying to push them to allow me to wait a little longer since baby is still doing well and moving, heart rate and fetal movement are good.... I just dislike that my midwive seems to want to not wait due to history of low fluid with my last and csec.... But I have faith that my body will progress on its own 🥰 she gave me silly reasons as to why I shouldn't wait like... " Baby is growing, or baby can pass meconium and catch an infection....." 🙄

After I took a warm bath, napped and went to the prenatal chiropractor for an adjustment my baby was in my arms 4 hours later! I have exercises to induce labor video too. 🙂

When the surge of pain would go away a full achiness remained and that's what I've been feeling through the dag. I called my OB and the nurse basically dismissed me and made me feel like i don't know what I'm talking about. So now I'm just confused and in pain and don't know what to do. I’m sorry! I had this for 5 days and I was so frustrated and mentally exhausted. My daughters hand was up by her face kind a blocking things from picking up intensity. I went to the chiropractor and 4 hours later went into active labor. Sometimes it’s just the body ramping up and getting ready which is all a great sign! But sometimes it can be a baby position issue which I also experienced with my first. Did a few exercise techniques to promote labor and my water broke that night. You may find it helpful to watch a few of my birth education videos all coming from my own experiences. ☺️
