This is the most underrated Dancee Pinkston video. I used these transformative pain reminders with the birth of my third child and I had a beautiful experience with him. There was no pain, only progress!

38 weeks and some days and this series of videos is SO helpful right now! I have been doing the hypnobabies program too and I am excited to use all my new knowledge for my third birth. I really was clueless the first two times haha

My biggest fear for labor is nausea and especially vomiting. I vomited in my first VBAC and it felt so awful and violent. I’m not scared of the pain and have a high pain tolerance! If I wasn’t afraid of vomiting I wouldn’t have any fear regarding labor!! 😥

SO HELPFUL!!! I remember how challenging this phase of labor is! I clearly remember that I wanted to cry then but I didn't let myself because I was afraid that I will lose control of my emotions. Also the phrase 'one contraction at a time' definitely helped me SO much. My OB told me that. Another thing that she said was that 'open your body' so with every contraction I was just imagening my body opening up. I never realized it about sweating and thirst! I will definitely tell this to my hubby. With my second delivery I wasn't allowed to drink, just tiny pieces of ice, so I clearly remember how myhusband gave me a tiny drop of water with each contraction.

The Productive Mommy I love ‘open your body’ such a great reminder to not tense your body which is so helpful with progression. I’m so glad you are following a long! You are going to do so great!

I’m 40w and 2 days. I’m 3cm dilated and have had a few contractions but they always go away at night. It’s been frustrating. I’m trying to be at peace with it though. This is my 5th baby and I want to go natural without any interventions this time. At this point, my biggest fear is that I will have to be induced and I’ve done that without an epidural and it was the worst experience. I didn’t manage the pain well that time. So if I can go naturally on my own, my biggest fear would be that labor lasts longer than expected and I lose control of my breathing and panic.

I’m 40 weeks and my cervix is still closed and I’m not effaced😭 I been trying to educate myself so I can try to get through it easier

That is such a smart thing to do. Education helps eliminate the fear of the unknown and can help the Momma stay so much more calmer by just knowing what is going on. No worries on The cervix dilation and effacement. It does not matter. I never had mine checked because it’s not a good determinate for when you will go into labor or are in labor. Women can sit at a 4 or 5 for weeks or they can be a 0 and go to a 10 in hours. you are going to do great momma!

That is a legit worry..but just know it’s so common during birth and nurses, OBGYNs and midwifes and birthing assistants usually always know how to take care of you and make you feel comfortable. 🙂 birth is vulnerable no matter how you do it.
