This is a nice video example of a great invisible join. Unfortunately it is incomplete. Rarely do we only join two squares.... It would be nice to see this video showing how to do this joining method with four squares so that we would get a more complete picture of how the join is completed. I see that the question has been asked numerous times yet never answered. I can only wonder what the message is here.....

I followed this and it came out perfectly!! My frustration, though, is that there are never videos showing how to do more. The first two square I joined were absolutely seamless. I tried to add a third square to make a row and it looks absolutely horrendous and I did the exact same thing. Has anyone found a video where they add multiple squares? I have no clue what I’m doing wrong and I’ve been trying multiple times and it’s always when I try to add a square problems arise. Thank you!

Just a tip. I really do appreciate all the effort it involves putting up a viedo. But I do have a request. It is really great learning this technique, but a lot of viedoes fall short on their lessons. I am a very visual person and need more of a complete picture. I love this join. It would be awesome if tutorials such as this could show like three squares across and three down showing how to do additional rows and those corners. It could even be smaller squares. I do love this join but I get stuck on the rest of it. Again I do understand the work and effort it takes and I admire how there are those who can take it from here, me not so much, heck I get lost in a paper bag. I have to pack a suitcase just to go to the store in case I get turned around and lost lol. Hugs

Thanks for putting this up! I needed something unobtrusive for my project, since I'm working on a pixel art blanket and it would look kind of weird if there was this obvious line where the squares join. Speaking of which, I'm working up around FIVE HUNDRED squares for that blanket. They're small and quick, thank god, but I'll still be working on it for a while yet. Almost done with the third-to-last color! There's around two hundred of the last color...

@@shannonr8977 uhm.. I am not a native speaker maybe that's the problem.. I mean if you have your squares and you put them on your table in the order you want them to be sewn together just begin the seam between the first to squares to join only one side of the two squares with the other one and then go all the way to the other edge of the project in a straight line with your seam and always join two squares together (each on only one side of the square) by doing so. and when you are finished with all the seams that go for example from top to bottom THEN you go from left to right all the way across in a straight line. And by doing that you will have to go across the previous seams that went top to bottom in a 90 degree angle I hope you understand 😂 so long

I have used this method decades ago. I also sew the front loops together. Makes it stronger. It takes longer but kids are hard on crocheted blankets. Especially if you make them from baby yarn. I enjoy watching the videos on how to do things. But I'm one of those that will watch take the idea and then adjust it to what I need. I like to reinforce the corner joinings. Would be impossible to explain. But when you get there figure it out. That's what is the most fun.

I’d assume you just weave them in like normal, or you could make tiny pompoms to tie to them to bud the corners(I’m really bad at making neat corners LOL)

FYI it’s only invisible on the right side. The join stitch will show on the back.

Just pick one of the base colors of your granny squares that you're joining, like the videographer picked. If you have a pink square and a green square the seam should be one of those colors.
