How to interpret and understand chord symbols with lyrics on the Piano

Музыка

This piano lesson is about how to interpret and understand the chord symbols above the lyrics that you see in chord charts or lead sheets. In this piano tutorial, I explain the most common chord symbols and what they mean when you see them above music or lyrics. I demonstrate how you can read and play the piano chords. This is particularly useful for piano accompaniment if you're a singer, as chord charts are a fast-track way of playing a song. If you've ever wondered what the letters above lyrics mean in music, then I hope after watching this that my chord and lyric sheets/charts will make more sense to you, and you'll know how to use them!

And you are right : I only know when to play the chords, but I need to learn how to " embellish " the song with the way I play...(you have a video on that I know haha ). Because playing when it is written makes the song a bit dull sometimes Thanks again :) your channel is a bless (don't know if that's English, but you'll get what I meant) Oh and ... I was hoping there was a trick to knowing what to do with piano tabs/guides when they don’t have a split bc I don’t know what to do with my left hand other than playing the root note or octave, or which inversion to use, but it sounds like you kind of have to have an ear for that 😅 Thank you SO much!!
