    Great video nice straightforward easy install thanks for the upload - I'll be picking up my 2022 S1000RR M sport in the next couple of weeks, the mods I've got planned installing these M rear sets and replacing some of the black plastic with the BMW M carbon fibre. Keeping the exhaust and engine stock for now do not want to damage the 3 year warranty. Ride safe my friend hi from the UK😉

    Thanks for viewing and congrats on the bike! Your gonna love it. It really is a great machine. The USA bikes are more restricted then the Uk so you might just be very happy with how it is. The full system does help for sure so don’t cross that off the list just yet. Do you have a list of the torque settings please ? I noticed my left peg was not set the same as the right and when I adjusted it the pinch bolt that holds the footpeg needed at least 40nm to grip it. I also discovered the circlips that retain the pegs if the bolt comes undone were missing on both sides.

    position -1 is the furthest forward so this setting is making less room IE this is closing the space you have & you will have less leg room , the settings work with max adjustment to the rear is the most open for comfort & helps open the bike up to make more room , forward less room , back more room/comfort. the micro adjustments on each set can lower or raise the peg in forward or back in any position you select. Once you purchase these rear sets the best way to adjust is based on personal preference & adjusting until you are happy with what feels right to you. you have to play around with them until you get the fit you like. in summary the sets adjusts forwards & backwards & the pegs adjust up or down with micro adjuster each set is 2 way adjustable , also the brake & gear shifter lever is adjustable to lengthen or shorten for your foot position.

  • @ctadrenaline

    The tiny screws are used if you want the pegs to be solid and not fold up. I personally didn’t use them. Could be beneficial for track. The black spacer is for if you want to delete the bracket that the stock muffler or shorty exhaust bolts on to. Since my full akra system mounts to the passenger peg location I used the black spacer and took off the bracket. Watch this video I made on them. Are those genuine M rearsets? There are clones going around on Ebay.

  • @ctadrenaline

    @ctadrenaline

    Жыл бұрын

    Yes they are genuine. The ones on eBay and aliexpress look almost identical except a few things. If you buy one they will have black pegs and the brake lever/ shifter will be black as well. Even if pictured silver. Most come with the M logo on it as well. I spoke to someone who has both and he used the China ones and said there’re actually very nice. Would recommend to use blue lock tight on the bolts though for caution

  • @Image-X

    @Image-X

    @@ctadrenaline I don’t think I could bring myself to use cheap clones. While they may look good, they are made with inferior metal. Chinese metal is well known to be weak and brittle. I consider rearsets to be a safety critical item, along with levers, braking components, chains, sprockets, etc and nobody should go the cheap china route on such items.

Of course nothing wrong with them as it’s not a safety feature

  • @Image-X

    @@ctadrenaline Yeah, I just have issue with the safety critical stuff. Stuff like fake carbon or fairings is a non-issue. Those cheap levers can work great until they don’t. I just don’t risk it.
