What's up my man! Great work, nice to see that the chevelle project is coming along. I was gonna patch the floor in my 68 Firebird that way but I decided to just replace the whole floor instead. But do you think that a butt weld is stronger than a lap weld? I was told a long time ago by an old fart to never butt weld something like a floor pan because of the load placed on it from your weight, and that a lap weld will provide extra support in case you hit a bump in the road a 200lb person becomes a 400lb person and a butt weld might not hold over time. He also told me that you can weld a lap weld on both sides to hide the lap joints and then grind the welds, and that no one could ever tell that it's patched. Just a little knowledge that was told to me years ago, I don't know how true it is but he was in the welding business some 40 yrs. so listened to him most of the time. Hey but keep the vids coming and I'll post some vids soon of my project when I upgrade my camera.

@Coverman66 I was hoping you would be replacing the entire floor pan so I can see how much of a pain in the butt it's going to be for me. LOL! I have to replace the entire floor pan in my 1967 El Camino. Here's what the Camino looks like if you want to check it out. I will publish a video of the floorboard here soon and everything else I have fixed so far. kzread.info/dash/bejne/n6Gmu8itY6anfrg.html

Good morning. I removed my fender this weekend and found that bottom part that holds the fender “by the door, next to the rocker” is rotted. I cannot find it online. Don’t know what it’s called to search for it. I thought maybe “lower fire wall”? Any help would be great

So do you recommend AMD body panels across the board for such a build? Coincidentally I'm planning going to go thru my 67 chevelle and was actually wondering/trying to research whose sheet metal is the best and requires the least work. Thanks!
