Yes, the factory had it there. No idea why, but that's they way Ford did it.

Hopefully you see this I’ve been looking around trying to figure out the reverse lights. You said in the video brake lights did you mean the reverse lights and also where do you splice the wires at cause I was under the impression you had to wire it all the way back to the reverse light. Im just very confused cause not everyone has made an install on a s550

Any issues with centering the bell housing? I know many aftermarket bell housings don't come close to properly locating the transmission.

Since my engine was stock, I figured I didn't need to do that. However, I'm building the motor now, so I'll check that and add a video to show that process!

Doing the Magnum XL swap now in my '12 Coyote. Will the pilot shaft fit the OEM pilot bearing? Did you upgrade to M-7600-C pilot bearing?

The factory pilot bearing fit. I did not upgrade the pilot bearing.

6:13 You wired up the ground , signal & +12 to the oem harness. Bowler recommends not to do this and to get a fresh +12 signal & ground. Any issue with going against Bowlers recommendation on this wiring setup ?

Amazing and I agree its a great trans. Could you do a video on how to do a fluid change on these? I'm a green DIY'r and their is very little how-to's for this trans. I'd greatly appreciate it!

I believe there's a drain plug. It's as easy as opening the drain plug and filling via the top plug.

my app wont connect does that mean i have it wired wrong? also the sensor on the left side of the shifter i believe its the speed sensor clicks in increments of like 3-5sec when my ignition is in accessory mode too scared to turn on the car also the reverse lights won't turn on when i put it in reverse in accessory mode as well.

Not sure about why your app won't connect. Check bluetooth settings, etc. I remember having the same sound when in accessory mode as well. It is normal. That's the reverse lock-out solenoid cycling. Go ahead and start the car and it should stop making that noise. If all else fails, call Bowler. They're helpful.

im really debating if i should rebuild my MT82 or just tremec swap it. i got a '22 mustang gt and this trans is just awful for someone like me who likes to drive fast and bang through gears.

I really like the MT82 with a good shifter. Get a shifter that attaches t the trans like an MGW.

You mean from Tremec? As far as I know, Tremec doesn't make a Magnum XL for S550 yet.

No, but I adjusted the ratios in the PCM to reflect those of the Magnum. Details on that will be in an upcoming book!

@@nogo5.0 I tuned it myself with HPTuners software. That'll also be in the book. But any person who tunes Mustangs should be able to handle the ratio changes.
