Finally somebody that showed how to hook up the coin mech/validator cables. Not even the official Nayax video shows this lol thanks!

Been using Nayax myself too. They have a high-gain antenna you can buy to boost your signal. I had one location that was always losing service, and their high-gain antenna seems to have solved the problem. It is not magnetic, so you will actually want to drill a hole in the top of the door, then use the nut provided to screw it down in place.

This is so helpful. I have 4 nayex readers that I’m installing today.

Nice to see that the nayax is compatible with the old Royal vendor machines. My machine is working well and I am looking forward to add the nayax so I can better check if I have to refill. I only have to check if mine also has the DEX (digital exchange) plug. I never noticed that before. Greetings from Germany and thank you for the the videos. I preferred the look of the older unit, I haven’t gotten one because they don’t make it anymore but now that I see this new unit installed I am way more interested in getting one.

Great video Bill, really love the step by step videos you put out, feel like I am really there with you learning. Just FYI, before drilling a hole in metal you really should use a center punch, it will prevent drifting like you were having. Have a great day and look forward to the next video.

Yeah...you are right about the center punch...but I didn't have one with me. I wasn't really prepared to drill a new hole because I thought I would be able to use the existing holes.

I always use a small drill bit to start with and then enlarge it. I have a set of bits that have steps on them--as you drill, the bit gets bigger and bigger. I just keep them in my tool bag at all times. Highly recommended.

Actually, you need to call Nayax after you install the reader so that they can activate it.

Bill, Great video! We just installed a Nayax touch CC reader and it will not work? It states cash only/ Nayax wanted me to get into programming to look for MDB section. Couldn't find what they needed, however they never stated to reboot the CC at the touch screen! I will try tomorrow to see what happens, so did you also reboot the main controller when you around to the inside of the machine (after cc reboot?) Thanks Shannon

You can reboot the reader just by unplugging your machine for a few minutes then plugging it back in. Good luck!

I found most of our machines on Craig's list. One I found on ebay. I just use a simple spreadsheet to keep track of expenses and income.

None of my machines are outdoors, but according to Nayax they are weather resistant and designed to be run outdoors.

do they work in carwashes in north America? I read carwash systems in north America use 24 ac volt systems and nayax uses 24 DC volt systems?

Hmmm...I don't know if the VPOS touch has a sim card installed. If so, I didn't install it...it came already in there. You may want to reach out to Nayax with that question.

Thanks for the video! I installed th Nayax VPOS on a royal 804 giii and a snack machine. On the Royal it’s reporting the card sales, but not the cash sales. Confirmed the cables are hooked up correctly. Any ideas why that would happen?

You probably have an older board on your 804 and the eprom is not able to report cash sales. I had an older Royal Merlin IV that I had to have the eprom updated before it would report cash sales. Unplug your machine and plug it back in and write down the number that comes up on the display...that is your eprom version. Call Royal and tell them your number and see if there are any eprom updates for your board.

You typically don't put drinks in a snack machine..unless it's a combo unit

How do you find out your MDB codes on this type of machine? Is it the same process for a Dixie Narcos?

I have problem with cancelling transactions after installation. Did NAYAX only suggest you to move the antenna ?

Well, the big issue was that they needed to swap out the old reader for this one on their end. There was also a maximum authorization price that needed to be moved up to $3 because I have some 2.25 monsters in the machine. The old setting was at 2.00.

Hey, my g3 is only dispensing out of row 5 and 11. I can hear the other rows trying to dispense but says sold out. Any ideas? Also, can I just use regular fluorescent bulbs for the door?

You need to check your space to sales settings to make sure it is programmed to dispense from other columns. Also make sure there isn't a jam in the columns that aren't dispensing. As for the bulbs, the machine uses a high output bulb with a specific high output connector. Write the number on bulb down before going out to purchase a new one.

@@Poolsrlife Hmmm...you have a g3 that takes 48" bulbs? My G3 660-9 machines take 64" bulbs....model F64 T12 high output bulbs. Most of my machines I converted to LED...which Keystone Electric makes a Sign Hero bulb that fits into the machine...but you need to rewire the lighting system and bypass the ballast.

I have the same cash only error... boy there always growing pains lol...how many machines do u have total?

You have to have the reader activated by Nayax after you install it. We have 5 soda machines and 2 snack machines.

Do you know how metal in your eye gets taken out? They drill it out. 😳 True story. 😂

@@usna2009 You would set that up in the credit card reader interface. List your prices on the machine at the full price and put a sign on the machine stating that there is a .10 discount if you pay in cash.

It’s probably in a bad spot if reception is bad

@@PatRick-xd4rp I'm not familiar with your machine so I can't say for sure if it has a dex port. Your best bet is to find a manual for it. And VPOS doe not have QR code based mayment.

This may not work with that standard board that goes in that vendor you may have to have the board upgraded

I already had the firmware on the board updated by Coinco before I put the previous Nayax reader on it. It works great with the VPOS touch and even reports cash sales. I'm not sure if Coinco still updates these boards....so you might need to buy an updated board from Royal if you wanted to do it today. Or another option is getting an aftermarket board from inone for this machine.

That sucks that they make you drill new holes. There should be a standard so all card readers fit.

The newer machines usually have an extra cutout for credit card readers so it's not usually an issue.

If you ever need to drill a large diameter hole in sheet metal like that again, get yourself a good "step bit". You'll thank me later.

Yes, it can do Spanish and many other languages. It is a worldwide company, so I'm sure they can used in El Salvador.
