FYI, You don't have to remove the back of the coin mech to change the price, there is 2 tab on the front top that you pull down and the top half of the mech can be pulled out

You can remove the flight deck from the front of the coin mech and use a precision screwdriver to change the price. No need to take the back part off

I just got one of these for free today. It works. Now just to learn how to use it. Lol

Thanks. The vending machine stuff seems pretty popular. I'm looking to get a couple more machines. So far I've gotten requests for changing out the lock, replacing the fan, and general questions about double vend and crushing cans. Anything specific you want to see?

@@anythingmechanical3399 I'd love to see a video on troubleshooting the front end of the machine, display/coin mech./bill mech. I recently bought 4 vending machines as well, none of them worked but after one needing a start and overload relay it worked, another one needed some jams removed then it worked. But i have one with a display that wont work and the part isn't available anywhere LOL. Also i have another one with a short somewhere, just need to take the time to find it. Thank you for your videos, it was the most helpful one so far with me learning how to work on them.

Can you do a video about the fan and replacing it+ problems with solutions to fix it thanks

i have a odd one, so over time the pops would stop sending. over time all stopped, the mac. i have is not the same. the switch is D26-2408-110 REV G 24 VDC i can hear the switchis on the door working

I bought a 600e model. Need to look over every little thing but it takes change but doesn't dispense the drink. Only tried 2 slots

Congrats on the buy. Check out my other video on fixing vend motor problems. Your issue might be different, but it could still be a good place to start.

I’m in the market for a Pepsi machine that looks just like this one. The people I’m interested in buying it from said that it’s set on free vend. Apparently to change it to pay it’s “just a jumper wire and they don’t have time to change it back” does this make sense to you?

Hey William. Yes, I have seen this done on some other videos. Apparently you can unplug the coin mech from the machine. At the outlet where it plugs in (called a jones plug) you can jump two of the terminals together allowing you to get a free vend situation. Reversing this should be as simple as locating the jones plug (1:44 in my video), removing any wires that don't belong and plugging the coin mech back in.

I've also just got one for free, when I put coins in they go straight to the coin return, I've set mine to 5 cents, any suggestions why it won't take coins and just send them to the return and not register or give me credit for putting the coins in, thanks for the great video

How do you change machin doing euro to usd?

Hello. My name is Tony. I recently bought a Dixie Narco Coke machine. It cools fine. The lights all work. However when I put the cans in, it doesn't vend . Is there a reset button or something else that I need to do? Thanks for your video.

No reset button. Make sure you put in enough cans to depress the paddles. Then check that all the micro and macro switches are in the correct positions (see my other video). If they are in the wrong positions the machine will think it is vending and not start a new vend.

My Dixie 501 is taking in dollar bills but not vending out sodas when I put in quarters it’ll vend a soda What can this be happening?

Do you have a part number for the lock and where did you get it?

U say that u changed the lock cuz the person you got it from lost the key.. I am getting one from someone but he lost his key to it.. Am. Not buying it unless i know i can get it open.. Any video on this?

Hey Marco. Unfortunately, I didn't make a video about picking/replacing the lock, and I sold the machine shortly after this video. Turns out these tubular locks are extraordinarily easy to pick and it only took me a few minutes. I wouldn't let a lost key be a deal breaker (nice bargaining point though). I'm looking for another vending machine right now. If I get one I'll make and post a video about the lock.

Is it possible turning all the coin switches to off would make the cost $0.00 and it would free vend?

Good question! I had the same thought and tried setting them all to off but at least for this machine, that didn't work. Just turned the whole thing into a big locking refrigerator.

if cans are getting too cold and freezing, turn down your thermostat. It's the black dial I show in the video

The maximum price isn't actually 10 bucks but 12.75. You'd get it by flipping all the switches up.

I noticed on mine that it wouldn't accept money (just spit change back out) if any of the gears weren't parked in the home position. That could be your problem.

You don't need to rewove the back panel of the coin changer, genius! The price is simply changed by releasing the front of the coin acceptor (flight deck) to get to those micro switches! Lol
