I want to get an older XJ like this one and get a JCR bumper. Looks amazing!
Matt, That horn is made by Sparton and we had a lot of them fail. I finally got Bob Lutz to tell the product planners (he hated them anyhow) to go with a better horn. They would come into the plant full of water as Sparton instead of making them "just-in-time" as they were supposed to do the just built a whole bunch of them and stored them on palettes mouth up outside. The plant guys in Toledo would complain because they leaked all over the plant floor making it slippery. You need to make sure that the horn mouth faces down and is not in a splash area.
you crack me up dude, great vid,
what's with the sword?
Definitely put that piece of door edge on the bottom..That will rot fast at that point.Good video..I am now on my 2nd Grand C Laredo..Love the 5.2 power.
Gonna need to post some design's or blue print's or make a video on how to build the combobulator, just sayin that thing is awesome
Love the invention. Keep the videos coming.
I love your videos man, super informative, probably the best XJ content on yt. But what's that hat action going on at 7:05 lmao
The Tailgater Combobulator! haha
lmao the tail gater combobulator
hahaha i laughed so hard at the end!
Hey Matt i have 93 cherokee just like this one. I was looking for my horn one day on my cherokee and i took off my vacuum canister. I snapped the hose when took it off, but i replaced it. right when that happened i realized that i couldn't adjust my A/C vents anymore. So my A/C is stuck in then Front and rear defrost position. I checked to see if i was getting any suction out of my vacuum hose and i am. I am wondering if i broke the canister. Do you know if the canister has anything to do with the A/C vents? if so how can i test the canister to see if i broke it?
I want that trailer hitch chair thing.
You should make a video on your new jeep. Tell us about it. What year and mods.
I took my original bumper off my 98 xj and there is a wire in front of the body.. Would like to know what is it for? I see there is one on this video.. Thanks!
What tool do you recommend using? That will be the most precise and cutting the fenders/bumper for a larger wheels? I want to make it as clean as possible. Also, What’s the tool “method” you used to cut the bumper? Some kind of orbital saw cutting tool but I forget the name of it. Thanks Matt! -Fletch
it would be fun to drive down the road sitting on your hitch seat
i love your videos i'm literally in tears from laughing at the end lol
I have several JCR products and generally like them but since I already had a C-Rok drive side tie-in I asked JCR if I could just buy the passenger side (building my own bumper). They said no. C-Rok had no problem selling me just the passenger side.
I'm getting ready to install my bumper today. I wish JCR made a notch in the larger brackets that run along the frame so you didn't have to cut the support for the front of the fender. If they made a little cut out, you could leave it there. I know as soon as I cut my bracket, some ass is going to bump the front of the fender and bend it all up.

bleepinjeep I just used an angle bracket. You also said you moved your vacuum bottle into the engine bay. Where did it end up? Mine in temporarily zip tied under the fender, but I don't have any space inside for the bottle. Customizing is fun! hahahahaha
Very nice.
That's a nice bumper! Looks Good!
I want a tailgater combobulator!
i love that seat
Haha are you gunna actually use that seat and grill thing u attached ..... Kinda cool if ur just seating around a campfire with it
hey quick question. will pre-97 bumper end caps fit on a 98 bumper? with a little fabrication maybe?
Would installing one of these bumpers effect the airbags in the newer models?
really wish he would at least put the link to the specific product on each video, also there no video on the wheels and tires and the installation and what kind of wheels they are and ive been looking and havent found anything and im looking to do a build like this on my 94 xj
I need to know where to buy the combobulater!!! 😂
when are you producing your tailgater combobulators for sale?!
Nice and easy
I'd like one for my jeep- good tutorial!
You know where i can get those un reinforcement brackets for the bumper? (Ya know for less than $98)
I don't know if this is normal but I ordered a t case skid from jcr over ten days ago. I haven't got an order confirmation or shipping confirmation. Sent two e mails with no response. The money was taken out of my account. Maybe they don't like people from the west coast?? If you have any feedback on why this is happening with jcr that would be great. I really like their skid, so I would hate (Yuuuuuuup) to go through a different company.
Bolt sizes?
It's gonna blow!
nice hats lol great video too
Yiu need to mass produce that tailgater combobulater

I have a very specific question, haha. I was in a wreck and it pushed my aftermarket bumper back a little bit and it bent the bolts and tore up the mounting brackets. If I used these, could I just cut off the factory mounting brackets and use them as an alternative? Also, would welding them on be stronger than the bolts? bleepinjeep

the jeep, the bumper is perfectly fine
Hey Bleepin, this is my second question from your videos, plan on getting a JCR winch bumper but wondering on finish. Powdercoat being the best, but what did you use? I see some just using rattle cans.

What's your suggestion for mounting a bumper that is not wide enough to fit around the brackets? May just need to buy the steering box spacer than just weld reinforcements all over the area, I can't relocate the bumper mounts on the Rusty's pre-runner bumper I have easily at all....annoying...didn't think of reinforcing this spot before i chose what bumper to buy...

i have thought about this too, i think it would be possible to cut the jcr mounts and weld them directly to your bumper.
@CRF450Rider585
9 жыл бұрын
BleepinJeep Yeah, I decided to cut the front three holes off the jcr bracket and just butt weld the jcr bracket to the bumper mount. It turned out i only needed to do this to the passenger side, the drivers side i just bolted it on and it just. All is good and strong now!
I wish my vacuum canister only had one line hehe.
Clearly Matt spent his budget on the special effects :) Does JCR sponsor you? Cool if they do, they seem like a good company, where I'm planning on buying from eventually, so these vids will be a help.
Where did you relocate the vacuum canister? I’m looking to do this for my cherokee and I want to see where I can put it

Depending on where you are, and your passport status, you should see about joining a Jeep club just over the border. If you can get stuff shipped to another member, you're good. I'm about to get my passport simply because every D44 I find is in Quebec.
