Smart guy.. Love it!!!
EPA will step in and fine the crap out of you if they catch you, Many states are starting to ban oil sealers. Only water based allowed. Watch what you post on line.
What happens when it rains in the future? Does the wood retain a slippery characteristic from the oil at all, or is there any separation post absorption.
I filter my old oil and then spread it. Also watch the water! Don't use oils if they are mixed with water it will make the oil separate and not work very well as a sealant.
Dude!! You're puncturing the sidewall. Kits like this can be used on the tread surface. Sidewall repairs Need a special vulcanized repair.
Heck yes! This is in my neighborhood. I’m right here in Durango!!!
Best video
Flammable?
No need to use the diesel. Used oil is more than sufficient. You’re literally throwing money away otherwise.
Could I use just used oil or would I have to mix diesel to do my trailer deck
Do I actually need a metal thimble in my winch line- I plan on dumping the fixed hook and go with an open eye and then use a soft shackle- is that sound reasonable? Great videos BTW. Vic in Utah
Sounds like Mr Rodgers explaining how to do tire repair. I like it. 👍🏼👍🏼
Rick Russel is a legend! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I have all his videos on DVD, and still watch them. What cool, classic, simple 4x4s they drove. I actually emailed him one time with a comment on poor audio in a scene, and he actually replied. I felt horrible, as that was long before GoPros and wireless mics. He's who got me into off roading. I hope Rick you're doing well!
Hack job from a dumb youtuber.install this dummy on your lugs and use him as your spare tire.
We used this method on vehicles when I was in the military, years ago. Oops, this is unwanted fossil fuel and use of any fossil fuel is highly frowned upon.
I wouldn’t put it on siding or a deck, if you every have a house fire it’s going to spread like crazy
Do you have to wait 6 months to stain it I recently changed out the wood for my trailer and I wanted to treat it
Oak floors with old diesel motor oil .
Used motor oil Huh? You know that stuff causes cancer? And you’re going to rub it all over everything. Great!
One point that needs to be made is to use farm or off road diesel for this mix. don't use the green colored crap they sell for road use.
"How To Keep Wood From Rotting For FREE" where exactly do i get free diesel?
Check out ROT-Doctor, penetrating Epoxy.. highly recommend it.. and if you need to screw anything after.. um.. ya might want to drill a pilot hole
Yo, that 'colby' valve looks pretty damn convenient..🤔
I thought the plug kit says 'tread repair only'?..😮
i add bees wax, for steel frame i add roofing tar. optional: paint pigment and linseed oil instead of mineral oil.
Did you have to drill a tiny hole in the center of the crack?
Rear diff is a Salisbury which is a Dana 44 built under license in the UK.
Don't do this you are polluting the water table
Great product and since it comes with a book for dummies……… then there’s hope!
Hahahahaha
What you are doing is illegal, at least it is in the state I live in. It became illegal when I was a child. I'm 60 now. I loved spending time with my Pawpaw Fred. He taught me so much and is a large part of who I am today. He was very practical and frugal. He was mechanically minded and could build and repair much of what he needed around his home, yard, garden, and orchard. I remember him and my Dad saving used motor oil to treat his wooden fences and other wooden posts every few years. He claimed it was the most effective protectant and insect repellent there was. He took good care of everything he owned, and helped others do the same. I distinctly remember him grumbling and being put out because he could no longer apply used oil. He said he could go to jail for doing it because of new laws created to keep petroleum out of ground water. Not only could you not reuse already used motor oil for any purpose, but you could no longer dispose of it yourself. Since then, by law, we've had to save our used oil in containers to be recycled. Here, we take it to a local auto parts store. I'm pretty sure this is not only state law, but federal law as well. In fact, as you probably know, all businesses, including restaurants, must save all types of used oil for recycling. I'm pretty sure what you're demonstrating is a crime.
Kneel Before Zod! And yes, I want the kit.
You should use the Jag to do Rally , like with the HooptieX group
Man you would benefit from building a counterweight for that tractor to keep the rear end planted. Mine is just a plastic 55g drum with some framing built through it to hook to my 3 point and filled with concrete. Makes it way more planted when lifting with the forks
If you live in a country prone to bush fires, this is not a good idea.
Great video nice jeep
ZJ/WJ lids for the center console. Built-in cup holders, could be adapted for '84-96, but easily adapted for '97+ models.
this entire video is just an advertisement...
Where do you get diesel for free? 4.99 at the pump, Maybe reconsider this videos title.
I must have missed something. Are all the teams just trolling the ultimate adventure deal this year? It's turned into a joke apparently?
I must have missed something, I’m not sure what you mean?
why is it that you need to heat the silicone spray on the titanium wrap before a second coat and not the fiberglass? or did you mean you need to heat the paint, then heat the wrap, then heat one coat of the silicone?
Cabbots decking oil works great. Can thin it down to absorb better.
Wow, you posted this 10 years ago. Did you ever get the zip tie tightened up? I'm guessing that your brain increased in size and snugged it up really nicely.
27:00 Josh! 🤣💕👍 and thanks for taking us by Russell's, what a cool guy. Knows his stuff too. And great job David too and Hope with the 🌽😆💕👍
Matt I am in need of parts from the dana 80. Please contact me if you can.
The wrecked one? That’s Josh’s I’ll let him know.
Production and refining crude oil is responsible for huge destructive environmental impacts, one of thwarting worst, just saying
Stunning vistas and scenery. I could never drive that trail because my greatest fear is high cliffy roads. Hiking it is another thing.
Great video. I especially appreciate the VIN websites you sent so I can make a list of vehicles to look at before I go.
I weld large flat washers on my relief valves. Works great
what? not just jeeps but a superduty too? woot!
