This video was very informative for me since i plan to buy a Losi 5ive T 2.0 sometime in 2025 i'm gonna start saving up early next year. I also plan to run a futaba radio system like you only mine is a 4PM and i will do the kill switch mod right out of the box before i first run the truck.

Thanks are the kill switch supposed to blink or solid red light I can’t get my Losi to turn on

I just bought a killer rc kill switch. This thing has been a complete nightmare trying to get it to work. I had a 2 channel transmitter which it said it would be compatible with but you need a splitter. So I went and got the splitter. Well everything works except when I turn off the controller it stays solid green and it doesn’t kill my engine. The company killer rc asked if I had another transmitter and receiver. So I went out and spent $200 on a new dx5c setup with both transmitter and receiver. Still not turning off when you turn off the controller. I’ve re binded it around 15 times. Avc is turned off. Not sure what else to do.

So what you’re saying is there is no Lipo cut off voltage with this Killswitch? So when my Lipo gets down below the safe low voltage for 2s 3.7 volts it’s going to get damaged unless I monitor it externally in between runs.

No it has voltage shutoff as well

How did you program that controller so you could get a second failsafe what I mean is having a second button beside shutting the controller off that will shut the truck off

Great tutorial video! Just curious... I noticed your Futuba has built in failsafe. Is that not enough? Or killing the engine is much safer than just applying full brake? Thanks again!

Thanks for the feed back and question. Yes full brake helps but having the kill switch: kills your engine on command, loss of radio signal, low battery, or total battery power loss. You don’t want a run away!

​@@warren_88you can't apply full break when the battery dies. The 5T is set up with 2 batteries. One for throttle/break and one for steering. If your in full throttle when that battery decides to give up the ghost that is where your throttle will stay so you can't use the servo to pull breaks and your car is looking for the hardest most expensive thing to hit💥🤑

You really need to get a small electric screwdriver,at least for removal
