How to Install a Custom Shade Sail | Pulley System, Cable Clamps & Turnbuckles

Custom and standard-sized shade sails from Shade Sails Canada are made with different corner configurations. Custom-sized shade sails are made with non-continuously cabled corners, meaning each side is individually tightened, ensuring more even tensioning. Standard-sized shade sails have a continuous cable around the perimeter that only needs to be fastened in one location.
In this video, Brydon covers how to install a custom-sized shade sail including how to use a rope as a pulley system to connect your shade sail, how to tighten up your cable clamps and your turnbuckles.

This is a very comprehensive video on the really important part of tightening a shade sail. The double loop rope trick is excellent. We use this simple method to tighten a sail on a windsurfer. I have seen some people use a ratchet strap level. The author's double-loop rope is the best of them all. Thank you very much.
