How to Improve Your Euskera FAST
I've been loving watching Goenkale, a Basque soap opera, on eitb.tv. Fun 20-minute episodes are an easy and interesting way to improve my Euskera comprehension all the way from California.
After a lifetime of listening to my family speak Euskara, the Basque language, I'm embarking on a journey to learn it myself. Subscribe and follow along as I attempt to learn this ancient and mysterious language.

Me too. Nik e bai.
The very first euskera learning videos in ETB were called "bai horixe" and can be found via youtube. Very simple and... slow
Wowwww I've spoken basque language my whole life so for me is natural but I know it's not an easy language to learn so I admire you all for trying to learn this beautiful but "small" language, my language. So thank you for being one "euskaldunberri" more and don't give up 💪💪💪 I'm not an expert but I'll be happy to help you a little bit If needed Zorionak guztiei eta eutsi goiari!!!!!

Good job learning English and Basque :) It's not easy learning new languages, but I'm glad you're finding my channel helpful.
so i lived in Zarautz for 4 years and in my experience the only way to learn basque is to try and only speak basque for as long as possible. english translates better than spaish but the biggest problem being 10 different ways of saying the simplest things.
Thanks for this video 🥰 The 20 minutes a day approach sounds so good! Might need to finally start Goenkale and explore Basque 90s fashion 😄👌
To learn some Basque I usually go on youtube and type bai horixie. It's a Basque video language course from the 80s. And its all in Basque.
Hell yes Anne-Marie!! Yell yes. Aholku bikaina da hau (this is an awesome piece of advice!) Jarraitu ezazu ikasten! Keep learning!
AYFKM???? GAH AND YAAAAASSSSSS!!!! I so love you my HELLA Basque sis! (I'm from Oakland...). THANK YOU! Ps, do you have some Oaktown swagger style caps or berets or the like?
Maite Zaitut means I love you. Great.
Kaixo Anne-Marie, Ulermena pixka bat hobetutakoan eta Goenkalerekin euskara entzutera ohitutakoan, "Aitaren etxea" seriea ikustea gomendatuko nizuke. Irudi aldetik, Goenkale baino kalitate handiagokoa da, istoria asko guztatu zitzaidan, 50 minutuko 15 atal. Once you get used to hearing more Basque, I would recommend you to watch "Aitaren etxea". 15 episodes of 50 min. It's more recent than Goenkale, so it has a higger Quality on image and plot. For me one of the best show that has been done in Basque. hemen trailerra: kzread.info/dash/bejne/l357pJSsodzSqaQ.html

I appreciate you...
This is such a great recommendation! I've been wanting to learn for years and I even have a couple vocab books from when I visited Bilbo/Donastia 2 years ago. Any suggestions for resources to practice with other people?

You have mintzanet.eus, but I think that you need to have B1 level to be accepted.
Maybe you've heard of it, but you might enjoy the movie Goazen! It's this blatant copy of High School Musical from around 2009 and nine that's a cultural cornerstone of the people from my generation, lol. I figure that since the story is rather simple and the basque is not really complicated (it's a children's film, after all), you might understand it.

Hi, on an USA TV program titled Ancient Aliens, they mentioned that the Basque are decedents of the lost city of Atlantis... all on seriousness, do you know if this is fact or fiction, or if there was any truth to it? Thanks - Kev

Haven't seen any evidence that that's true
