How To IMPROVE Your DIET And EAT HEALTHY w/ Max Lugavere

WHAT YOU EAT AND HOW YOU EAT, MATTERS.
The sad part is that there are too many people who pay little or no attention to their DIETS as part of a plan to LIVE HEALTHY. It’s an epidemic in America and unhealthy lifestyles kill millions of us each year.
That’s why this week’s guest, MAX LUGAVERE, is back for another must-listen podcast.
He is a health and science journalist, TV personality, and the author of the newly released GENIUS KITCHEN as well as the NEW YORK TIMES best-sellers THE GENIUS LIFE, and GENIUS FOODS which has been published in 8 languages around the globe.
Max is also the host of the #1 iTunes health podcast THE GENIUS LIFE and appears regularly on the Dr. Oz Show, the Rachael Ray Show, and The Doctors as well as a contributor to Vice, Fast Company, CNN, and The Daily Beast, and many other media outlets.
I hope you’re literally ready to MAX OUT in a fast-moving hour that covers A LOT OF IMPORTANT FOOD AND HEALTH TOPICS like:
Our obsession with PROTEIN intake
Is there a downside to eating too many PLANTS?
The importance of FISH in our diet
Using EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE OIL
Misconceptions about SALT and SUGAR-SWEETENED DRINKS
HEART and BRAIN foods to EAT AND AVOID
The importance of eating SLOW
PORTION control
Why FUNGI is good for you
Max and I also get into how to DINE OUT HEALTHY, which is a huge concern for all of us. Even more important, MAX downloads valuable information about consuming food that is exposed to environmental toxins and steps you can take to minimize any threats to your health.
You can’t live your best life unless you are intentional about what you put into your body. Take time to study Max’s work, and the work of others, on this important topic.
Think of it less like homework, and more as LIFEWORK.
Because that’s exactly what eating the RIGHT THINGS in the RIGHT WAY is…

Max, can you overeat avocado? I love avocado and try to include it on all salads. Also love to eat it with eggs. Can you eat too much avocado in a day? Thanks. Going to pick up at least one of your books today (all 3 if they have them at my local Barnes and Noble).

This reminds me of the show you did with Dr. Ian Smith. Especially the part about not eating processed foods. I recall Dr. Smith describing it as, if it doesnt look like the way it is grown or natural cuts from meat, it's processed. My favorite was when he said the ingredients should be 5-7 items on the food lab. Max took what I heard previously and just MAXED IT OUT! Both you dudes put some solid next level information in this one. It's peculiar to me that we are looking for souch advice on what to eat and how science actually backs up the perfect diet which is the diet that comes from the Bible which is a lot of what Max spoke of especially increasing the amount of plants we eat. Awesome job fellas! 👏🏿 God bless!

Great info and great interview. And to maybe add some info regarding fruit. Fructose the sugar found in fruit is mainly processed through the liver unlike other sugars (glucose) which is absorbed through small intestines. So too much fruit can cause weight gain, becuase the liver can only process so much fructose, and the excess fructose will turn into fat/carbs and the body will absorb it.....love handles and gut.
