Mint stuff mate. I just had a cat 3 brain tumor removed 8 months ago leaving me with poor cognitive functions and the left side of my body doesn't work properly. I have been eating this type of food for the last few months and can say I feel real good. A focus on food for the brain and brain recovery is so important. Thanks heaps mate.

Awesome video! That's basically what I eat every week (among many other good things!). Don't forget mushrooms, they are good for the brain too. Cruciferous vegetables are very good, but when they are raw, they can affect the thyroid in some people. So I prefer to cook them. You can cut them and wait around 15-20 minutes before cooking them, so the anti-cancer compounds are formed. I try to cook them as we say in Spanish "al vapor" (steaming). Thank you for the video, I will look for your book!

My mouth was watering the whole time! Yummmm! Making good food that's good for you is quick and easy. As for the cost of the ingredients? My dear late Mom, raised on a farm back when all farming was organic, used to say, "I'd sure rather give the money to the grocer than the doctor!"

PS - Mom was 96 when she passed, a victim of Alzheimer's brought on by the re-injuring of an old cranial injury. Otherwise, she'd surely have made it past 100.

Max I love the book Genius Foods and I'm Really curious as to how well your mom got throughout the Process. I'm 58 years old and it really troubled me when I started having problems about a year ago. I started to get forgetful and had trouble constructing sentences. During the short time of reading Genius Foods I started eating the food that you had mentioned to possibly help make the Brain function Better and I'm starting to see a difference. I hope you and your family are well. Looking forward to my greens and blueberries I'll be eating later today. I also use the wymans Frozen Wild Blueberries. Seems to make a difference! I know you must be incredibly busy but if you can just let me know how your mom is doing that would be amazing!!

It is quite sad that we have to come to this information much later in life and the medical industry is of absolutely no help. But I am grateful that he is putting out this information for those who can still use it.

Max, I have a question for you. I noticed that the recipe for the salmon with arugula and brussels sprouts is over 1000 cal, typically half of one day’s calorie total. I also noticed that the fat was 80% of the calories. I understand that you were saying that it is a healthy fat, but 90g or 800 cal of fat seems quite a bit for one meal. How can that be reduced significantly so that the meal is more like 5-600 cal? Thank you.

You feel that hungry maybe because you are eating carbs too. Carbs make your insulin go higher, and you feel hungry. When you start eating low in carbs, your hunger goes way down. Insulin is stable. After 3-5 days of eating low carb, you will notice the difference. Try it.

Luna Lovegood Probably want to look in his book’s bibliography. It’s a cooking video, so not a lot of time to give dense sources. That’s not what people are coming to the video for anyway. All of these foods are good for you regardless of the health claims. These ingredients by themselves are good for you to eat & grounded in established research. Olive oil promotes good cholesterol, salmon is good for the brain, vegetables are good for you. You don’t have to eat wild salmon if you’re not sure about his sourcing; that’s one way you could have that boundary.
