________
About us:
iCanStudy is an education organisation that transforms students' studying and time management skills into full, evidence-based systems. Our students are able to use these techniques to build long-lasting connections between what they learn at school and their existing knowledge schema. The benefits include significantly higher knowledge retention, deeper and more diverse problem-solving ability (including exam execution), massively reduced procrastination, improved motivation and less time needed to study.

Here's a little tip for those that struggle with internal distraction because they're not in the healthiest mental state. If you find yourself thinking better or worse things along the lines of "this is hopeless, I suck, nothing will work-out for me" instead of studying, find one thing that brings you (or used to bring you while you were doing it) joy and dedicate time (once, twice, however many times) for it *every day.* Treat this as an integral part of the productivity process and keep in mind it could take weeks/months to gain momentum. Also, save it as an end of day reward if there is high risk you binge for an extended period of time. Those few hours per day spent on music/vidya games/"anime" or whatever are maintenance and are as important as brushing your teeth.

I really like that suggestion Dank, pleasure should be a reward or incentive for your efforts but is also downtime for the brain, or maintenance period as you put it. Love that.

Can you folks cover a segment on learning outside of academic environments? Something like learning to code or learning to use a very technical program for work. Great video as always!

My problem is that I'm my own distraction, I've already done all of these steps ages ago, but I just zone out sometimes(diagnosed ADHD) Still trying to figure out how to overcome it

Same here, I'm not diagnosed but I find my thoughts going everywhere all the time, like "I need to do this" oh "what's happening over there", "I need some water" etc etc It's frustrated cause I tried to get a diagnose, but they couldn't give me an explanation, just that I had "almost very bad" working memory, I was doing well in school, home and work. The only thing they said was "could be your social anxiety" which we couldn't find the cause to.

Try to schedule in study sessions after medication during your focus hours. Reflection and mindfulness meditation might help as well. My focus has significantly improved after trying meditation for 2 months.

I was trying to implement meditation every night but not sure if I was doing it correctly. It's hard to measure if it's going better or nothing has changed. @@Iammuslimaakter
