How to Grill a Whole Fish | Grilling Fridays | Serious Eats

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Grilling may be one of our favorite ways to cook a whole fish-the intense direct heat does wonders for the skin, crisping it up while the coals below impart a delicious flavor to the fish itself. Granted, it's not quite as easy as just tossing a whole fish in the oven, but a few key steps will guarantee it comes out perfect every time. Here's how to get it done.

I gill hooked a big largemouth today, and it wasn’t going to survive, so I figured might as well eat it. I usually fillet fish I catch but he’s a good size fish so I gutted him and I’m cooking the whole fish for the whole time right now. Edit: not too bad. My family and I enjoyed it.

Putting Lemon into your fish will give it a very bitter tasted if you cook with it. Lemon goes on your fish after you cook.

What’s the culinary term for cooking whole fish. I ask because I was under the assumption that branzino was a style of whole fish cooking. I was all excited when I ordered it tonight and was served branzino filet. It was delicious and I enjoyed it, but now I’m curious as to what whole fish culinary terminology is. I’ve seen some whole fish cured and baked in salt, some in parchment, and some grilled or pan fried whole. Do these all have specific terms? Thank you in advance.

Not a right way to cut it from bottom, all top spine fish should be cut from top, then U can grill the inside from a decent distance with or without seasoning, remember, if the fish is still fresh from water, never wash it after removing its intestine & insides coz watering it will let it lose its natural taste , cheers
