I often grill red snappers up here in Toronto. But also struggle with the skin sticking to the grates. I use those fish grills that work sometimes, and sometimes, not so much. But this bed of onions is a great idea. I am going to try it the next time I grill these awesome, flavorful fish. Thanks for posting this video.

Hey I just joined you guys channel and I l love it! Your kiddos are adorable! Hey the onion under the snapper was an awesome idea but I found this at an Aldi supermarket and I’m sure Amazon may have it.. it’s for the grill and I mean it keeps everything from sticking and it cooks soooo well. I made snapper on it last night… I can’t send a pic like I thought I could 🤦🏽♀️ but if I see your email or anything I’ll send it to you guys! Keep cooking I love your channel!!

As best I can recall, I think it was called Albertos Beach Restaurant. We rented a jeep for the day and found it along our drive. Thanks for watching.
Dumb question, how do you serve it once it's cooked? Do you just claw out all the meat? I've never cooked a whole fish, been scared to for reasons like that so I've always just bought filets. Would like to try something new like this.
@cookingwiththerobinsons
Жыл бұрын
For this cook, we pulled the meat with a fork to make fish tacos. However, you can serve the entire fish and simply have each individual pull the meat off the bones themselves (family style). That is how it was served on my Mexico vacation. Keep us posted on how it turns out. Thanks for watching.

How much time total?
@cookingwiththerobinsons
3 жыл бұрын
I wish I could give you an easy answer other than 145 degrees but I think temperature is the best way to go. That or just the flakiness of the fish. That will give you the best result. If you cut the fish like I did you’ll be able to see when it is cooked through. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching!
If you just slice off one end of the 🍋 and lime and keep slicing the other end is going to get cut off and you won't need to cut off both ends first.

It’s super easy, I like to use a fork and slowly pull the meat away from the bones. I want to do a grilled trout video soon. I’ll have to remember to show how we remove the meat. Thanks for watching!
I’ll preface this by saying this looks delicious and I’m copying this for my contribution to thanksgiving dinner this year. However, as a writer - and former lawyer - I have to ask how the olive oil can serve both as a ‘binding agent’ for the spices, and a lubricant to prevent the fish from ‘sticking to the grill.’ Is olive oil a binding agent or loosening agent?!? - 😂😂😂😂😂
